By now most people have realised that the VIP wheel is fixed. It will never give you those enticing level 6 and 7 gems, and it will always give you that 500k gold, but there's actually more to it than that. My theory is that it's possible to tell exactly what your 8 rewards will be before you even spin the wheel, allowing you to pick up other useful items such as level 2 gems, crypt tokens, skeleton keys and mount training whips by refreshing until you get the wheel that you want.
So here is my theory.
Your reward slots are arranged into four levels with two slots each, and you fill level 1 first, then level 2, 3 and finally 4. The wheel contains level 1, 2, 3 and 4 rewards that are guaranteed to be given out as a reward, but you don't know if you will get them on the first or second spin at that level. For example, 500k gold is a level 4 reward and may appear as either your 7th or 8th reward, so for this reason if you're just after the 500k gold, don't spin all! You might get it on the 7th spin and save yourself 8 VIP tokens. Now here's what you might find in each of the levels:
Level 1 Rewards
20k gold - guaranteed
Level 2 Rewards
Various junk like seeds that I haven't bothered paying any attenton to
Level 3 Rewards
60k gold - guaranteed
10 crypt tokens - guaranteed
Level 2 gem - needs more testing but probably guaranteed
Level 4 Rewards
500k gold - guaranteed
30 crypt tokens (only if there are two on the wheel) - needs more testing but probably guaranteed
5 skeleton keys - guaranteed
I've not yet tried to work out how to get mount training whips, but my theory right now is that they work like crypt tokens, so the 1 mount training whip is guaranteed and to get 5 you need it on the wheel twice. It's hard to test this when VIP tokens are produced so slowly, so if anyone has any other insights feel free to share them.
Here's a picture of one my best VIP wheels yet. I refreshed until there were 2x 30 crypt tokens, and also managed to snag a level 2 gem and the full 580k gold too. The only thing missing to make this a perfect clean sweep for me would be to have had the 10 crypt tokens at level 3 instead of the 60k gold because as a level camper I really need crypt tokens to finish my legendary set.
