  • Getting the most out of your VIP tokens

By now most people have realised that the VIP wheel is fixed. It will never give you those enticing level 6 and 7 gems, and it will always give you that 500k gold, but there's actually more to it than that. My theory is that it's possible to tell exactly what your 8 rewards will be before you even spin the wheel, allowing you to pick up other useful items such as level 2 gems, crypt tokens, skeleton keys and mount training whips by refreshing until you get the wheel that you want.

    So here is my theory.

Your reward slots are arranged into four levels with two slots each, and you fill level 1 first, then level 2, 3 and finally 4. The wheel contains level 1, 2, 3 and 4 rewards that are guaranteed to be given out as a reward, but you don't know if you will get them on the first or second spin at that level. For example, 500k gold is a level 4 reward and may appear as either your 7th or 8th reward, so for this reason if you're just after the 500k gold, don't spin all! You might get it on the 7th spin and save yourself 8 VIP tokens. Now here's what you might find in each of the levels:

    Level 1 Rewards
    20k gold - guaranteed

    Level 2 Rewards
Various junk like seeds that I haven't bothered paying any attenton to

    Level 3 Rewards
    60k gold - guaranteed
    10 crypt tokens - guaranteed
Level 2 gem - needs more testing but probably guaranteed

    Level 4 Rewards
    500k gold - guaranteed
30 crypt tokens (only if there are two on the wheel) - needs more testing but probably guaranteed
    5 skeleton keys - guaranteed

I've not yet tried to work out how to get mount training whips, but my theory right now is that they work like crypt tokens, so the 1 mount training whip is guaranteed and to get 5 you need it on the wheel twice. It's hard to test this when VIP tokens are produced so slowly, so if anyone has any other insights feel free to share them.

Here's a picture of one my best VIP wheels yet. I refreshed until there were 2x 30 crypt tokens, and also managed to snag a level 2 gem and the full 580k gold too. The only thing missing to make this a perfect clean sweep for me would be to have had the 10 crypt tokens at level 3 instead of the 60k gold because as a level camper I really need crypt tokens to finish my legendary set.

I get the 5 training whips. U have to refresh until u have two lots on show and no 5 skeleton key reward...

    • #3
Also. I got a random level 3 gem pack as a level 4 reward once. Not sure what was on the board though...

      • #4
Oh nice, I didn't realise you could even get a level 3 gem from this. I'll definitely keep an eye out for that. Do you remember if it came as level 3 gem box or the gem itself?

        • #5
It was a random in box Buddy...

          • #6
L3 insignia plant is also 100% drop rate

            • #7
Ooh insignia is pretty nice too. I had a level 3 gem box on my last VIP wheel but didn't get it so there must be to that one. I spend a good 15 minutes refreshing trying t get double 30 crypt tokens though and no luck, must be ridiculously rare.

              • #8
If you have the time to keep refreshing you can get a board you would like to spin on...a guild mate got a level 7 gem a week ago somehow

                • #9
I've had a look around on other problems and it looks like there have been some cases of people getting lvl 6/7 gems. No screenshots of their actual wheels though but the theory is the same as the same as the 5 whips/30 crypt token one, you need the same gem on the wheel twice.

It's probably ridiculously rare to find though, rarer even than me failing to find double 30 crypt tokens in 15 minutes of refreshing.

                      Interesting !
                      Searches should go on :-)

                      • #12
Found 2 screenshots of people getting level 7 gems in the PC version. Can't see a pattern as simple as with the other items, but I have noticed that when there's 500k and 5 skeleton keys, I don't recall ever getting the skeleton keys before the 500k. I think there might therefore be a way to tell in which order you get things at each level too, and the way to get a level 6/7 gem is to have no more than 1 level 4 reward with a higher priority on the wheel. It's bit of a flimsy theory at the moment, but I'm trying to get a wheel with no more than 1 known level 4 reward before spinning. Skeleton keys and 500k come before level 7 gems, but major hp potions don't, judging by the second screenshot.

This could all be for the nothing, but in the name of science... *taps refresh again*

The screenshots were from this thread:

While scrolling through I found a screenshot of a level 3 gem box in the rewards where there were 2 of them on the wheel so I'd guess that reward falls into the same category as 30 crypt tokens and 5 whips, although double 5 whips is actually pretty common to see.

Edit: Just had 30 crypt tokens without there being a second one on the wheel. I sacrificed 500k to get it though. This was my wheel.

                        • #13
Would be interesting in seeing screenshots of any wheels WITHOUT either 500k, 5 Keys, 5 Whips or 30 Crypt tokens.

That might show what items are equivilent in level to these.

(Find a saturday with nothing to do but refresh wheel and we might just get the rest of the info needed lol) maybe you should start a research community Twig?

Though as per your screenshots here, there must also be luck involved, because the 5 whips are on the wheel but not chosen?

                          • #14
A research community? Nah too much effort, this is just something fun (for me anyway) to try to see if anything can be uncovered.

I tried for quite a while yesterday to find a wheel that didn't have the 5 skeleton keys or the 500k on it, but about 90% of wheels had the 5 skeleton keys and when they didn't, the 500k was there. I'm starting to wonder if it's possible to find a wheel without them, but if I do get a wheel without them I will spin it and see what happens.

Missing those 5 whips is normal, since so far every time I got 5 whips there's been two of them on the wheel. I do think though that maybe rules like "you will get X item if it appears on the wheel twice" don't exist after getting those 30 crypt tokens last time. Instead, I'm thinking that it's just as simple as different rewards having different priorities, and only the two highest priority rewards at each level being given out. The reason that it looks like you need 2x 5 whips or 2x 30 crypt tokens to get them may just be that there's only so many rewards of each level on the wheel, and if two of them are taken up by crypt tokens then you will get crypt tokens.

As for "guaranteed" rewards like the 20k gold and 500k gold, they are probably just position 1 or 2 in priority among all possible rewards at their respective levels.

So from now one I'm going to keep track of all the rewards that I see at each level and the order in which they're given out to see if this theory holds up. Gonna be VIP 9 by the time the next gift pack comes, but even with those 70 + 50 tokens per week it'll take a while.

                              Lvl 7 gem

It already happened several times to me that it would stop on a lvl 7 gem and than when the Spin is finished it would just Skip to the next reward. Its impossible to make a picture in such a Situation or even a Video, so u cant even write a complain to devs. Thy should not put rewards on the Wheel which are impossible to obtain!! Its a ripp of like almost everything in the game!!
