  • Kabam: Don't forget players that don't play for several years

Our problem with the game is that it's almost impossible for starters to play.
I think Kabam should remember that sometimes a new player starts playing.... It's must remembered when making events & prices.

Like trade in in the round tower: some players really need to have a trade in for 3th -> 5th city. Or for chrystals
What about the *5 and *10 grails you give in calendar. For the old players (like myself!) its a nice price. For a newer player is just frustrating. They don't have a 255-knight and cannot use the *5 and *10.

I really think you must try to think of a starter. How can you help a starter from scratch to advanced!

As an idea: why don't you add a few boxes to the next calendar:
Day 5: (normal) hero level up to lvl 30
    Day 10: City 2&3
    Day 15: Mystic 255 x5
Day 20: (round table) hero up to lvl 50
    Day 25: City 5
    Day 28: Grail training 255 x2

Then you have 6 prices specially for the newer players. They are stimulated to keep playing. They will be less dissapointed and maybe they will get some addiction to the game if they start to login for 28 days next month... And maybe in the end some of them will start gemming.

It's holiday time. A time a lot of people have holidays. What do people that are bored: they start with a new game.... So it's your chance to do something!

    I agree! It's a good idea !
    cialis cialis 20 mg

    • #3
      i agree with cicero.

A lot of New players, but after a copple of weeks.... they can NOT build anymore and they loose the intrest in the game and they quit. So do something about that....and listen to cicero!

      • #4
I agree, when I started playing about 6 months ago, it was indeed very frustrating to receive prices I couldn't/still can't use. It's a good idea to implement some items for logging on for new users, it will boost them to play more.

        • #5
          I totally agree with this

          • #6
No thought is given ever to new players joining the game or returning players after a break.

cannot for effort or money get hold of knight Saint level 10, or new gear. I've returned from a few months off now my Knights all outdated and cannot get new gear or training items. Every madness is complete garbage getting still chaos gear and celestial gear which is at least a year out of date

Kabam doesn't care about its customers only few big gem buyers left in each world

            • #7
A good solution that has been proposed hundreds of times, good for newbies and veteran players it's an alliance market where old players can give away their stuff to new players and everybody happy , but this will not happend

              • #8
grail and mystic trainings from 255 and below are obtainable by hero exploring, Same goes for the *5 training. I also believe that they are in the cheaper grail fragment chests. About the citites, valid point tho.

*10 grail training. seriously? they belong to the ''newest'' items.. new players shouldn't be able to obtain the same items right away as players who are playing for years who have to work hard for them in/with events/(campaign)

                • #9
money said: I get it straight away even if im new .

makes your comment about new players invalid.

                  • #10
So basically, on top of being bored by useless fragments events since 2 months, we now wait for potential new players to be happy with calendar... When we all started (approx; 2012/2013.. did someone cared that you have no 215? no portal ? we were all just doing our best to get the game and items... even if completely unbalanced)

I acknowledge that "new" is future, but let us be realistic ... you guys really have new/new players in your worlds? or only alt's as news?

Besides, as someone mention it, most of basic stuff is avalaible in exploring, campaign etc... Aliiances/friends are there to guide how to better evolve...

I am 100% not ok with giving away the small "new items" that Kabam still proposes us for a Mystic 225...

                    • #11
I doubt if you would be playing in two years yet, if you started playing today. That's the main issue.
We have to little new players. I really don't know how many of the new accounts are subs or really new players. I know we had some players in our world that really weren't subs, but still stopped playing because they get frustrated.
And no, I didn't have to wait for long to get a 215 (I started 2 years ago), because we had alliance comps in what we could win grail-215 and better, so my alliance members could help me to give me a reasonable knight.

And in that time we only had to have might and knight. And later some gear.
That gear you only need to fullfill and that was all.

At the moment you need to have a :
                      * *10 knight
                      * gear
                      * exp to open that gear -> opening celtic gear is a bit easier then opening pendragon-gear.........
                      * hammers & dust to hammer your gear
                      * stones to add to your gear

And that's not all. You also need heroes. As starter you only have 2!

And yes, we can get grail training via exploring. How many did you win? How many heroes do you have? How many times a day can you explore with one hero? Try to be a newbie again... Again, you only have 2.
And we can get a lot of prices in campaign. Try to play with a knight level 10-20-30 and with only your t1/t2/t3 troops (and you'll need time to be able to train t3...)
To what level can you compete? The first half of first campaign?

What's your problem with the fact new players get some prices easier then you? Won't you like it to get to know some new players?
Won't you like it to compete with other players?

If you give the prices above every month it will not make advanced players from new players, but it will give them just a better start. It will stimulate them to continue.

A long term better solution would be to give better prices to players reaching a higher level. Like reaching level 12 will give Grail-215, reaching level 16 will give city 2, reaching level 20 will give Grail-250, level 30 city 3... Something like that. But this kinds of changes are to difficult to implant. I don't bother asking kabam.

But some prices specially for starters in calendar won't hurt anyone.

I have an alternative: Give all starters a special Eastern-madness! Forget about that? Did you forget how many prices we received for free?

                      • #12
I totally agree! In my Alliance are a few beginning players. You can give us new gear stuff, but they can't get exp.charms. Yes, campaign....... but without a strong knight you loose a lot of might. So, they never get exp.charms

                        • #13
I agree with Cicero, Kabam is making it almost impossible on our server to grow (for the players who start today). In the old days we had events with functional prizes, which helped all kinds of players. Today we only get events where we can win Grailfragments...... you never know what you may get for them....

Starting with some normal alli-toms would help, giving a starters-chest with a 215 knight would also help.... If only to get through the first chapter of campaign, where maybe some gear (for instance) and xp can be won. I now for a fact that Kabam can make that happen, but do they want to do this for Ector123? Are there more servers that don't get normal events anymore?

I can repeat everything that Cicero said, but said once should be enough. Now waiting for the reply or ideas of Kabam......

sorry but i gotta step in here.

                            City prizes:

koc 2011: sure, lets buy 3 arthurs and 2 galahads for 290 gems. or 50 tokens for 225 gems. oh wait, or maybe 5 godly inspirations for 200 gems?

koc 2015: normal events? cross world events? grailwars? round tower events? sure what do you want?
                            koc 2011: events? what's that?

Well, i guess that sums everything up quite well i guess?

Conclusion: Newbies have totally no right to complain a single thing in 2015.. they are spoiled if you compare it to our first 2-3 years in this game.

And lets face it.. 90% of the newusers are sub accounts from already existing players. Those 10% players who are realy genuinely new... don't have much to complain about.

                            Cheers, Bierkes --> out

p.s. sure, they can edit the level-up chests with some more ''new'' items, but hell no, don't change stuff like the calender with those crappy items because 90% of the players doesn't need those newbie items.

                            • #15
It doesn't matter if they have no rights complaining. They just stop playing.
So you have two choices: Do nothing -> dead world Or do something to prevent them from stopping.

You must be damn stupid when you don't see this.

You can't compare koc from 2011 with koc of today.
