Entering a Grail Wars Battle (Will not be available if you have not joined an Alliance)
All players within the Alliance can participate in Grail Wars.
To enter the Grail Wars battle menu, select either of the Outposts next to the Castle.
Battle Schedule
Grail Wars are held on a calendar weekly basis and consist of three phases:
Rules for the Grail Wars Battle
Preparation:
1) The preparation period begins first. During this time, recruit Alliance members, increase your Alliance level and skills, and train troops to prepare for battle.
2) The Deployment period follows preparation. All Alliance members who have met the might requirements are allowed to select their knights, heroes and troops that they want to deploy to the Battlefield at this time. Each member can deploy a maximum of 10 marches per City and assign one Outpost Marshal to improve the Attack and Life when defending your Outpost.
The Alliance Power score influences the total pool of points an Alliance can compete for, so bringing more troops - thereby raising your alliance power - will give you an advantage. Individual Power Scores are based on your troops, Knights, Heroes and Gear that are deployed into battle.
1) Once the deployment phase ends Alliances will be matched up according to their Glory score. Initially based on alliance might, this will change depending on an alliance's performance in Grail Wars. The Alliances will then cross the portal to the Alliance War map and face off against a rival Alliance!
2) Points are scored by killing enemy troops from other alliances or PVE tiles, as well as conquering and holding special tiles called Wonders.
3) At the end of the Battle, the Alliance with the highest score wins the Grail War! All participants will obtain rewards and the Alliance will earn Glory points that are used for ranking on the Grail Wars Leaderboard.
Grail Wars Items & Rewards
Alliance Shop
The Alliance Shop located within the Outpost sells speedups, portals, and performance boosts that can only be used within Grail Wars. Several items are unlocked when the Alliance reaches a certain level requirement.
Merits
1) Individual Merits (IM) and Alliance Merits (AM) are earned by scoring points in Grail Wars, donating resources, endowing Crosses or purchasing Gems. Purchasing Gems will reward you and all Alliance members with Individual Merits (IM).
Grail Wars Pre-release
For the inaugural Grail Wars, some things will be different depending on your realm, such as the length of the battle time. This is because we are still calibrating the Grail Wars feature to ensure maximum performance and enjoyment for all players. Grail Wars will be improved along the way as we monitor the feature and gather player feedback on this new content.
When this preseason is complete, the Grail War settings will be the same on all realms.
Grail War Ranking
1) The first leaderboard will be based on total Alliance Might. Alliances who join Grail Wars after the first battles will appear at the bottom.
2) After the preseason, Merit points progress will be kept, but the Glory leaderboard points will be reset. This is to ensure a fair start for all when the feature finishes calibration.
