Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing ? The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you?re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

  • Weekly Update 21 June 2016

    This Week

We continued to work on comp prizes.

We also suggested exchange items for the Kingsmark in the wheel. If you haven't checked out the wheel in a while, you may want to try. A lot of players farm the camp for Lunette?s Tokens, then play the wheel and win more stamina for the camp, in addition to other prizes.

We continued to develop and exchange ideas with Gaea regarding drop kills (and new versions of kills comps) such as tiered comps, blind comps, and multiple player attack score bonuses. This is a very complex issue, and we believe it will take a couple changes to get it controlled.

As part of the cleanup, we are asking for inventory item exchanges, perhaps on a weekly basis. This is all preliminary, but the concept is a different exchange each week:
    • Old game pieces
    • Hero medals
    • Hammers
    • Old gear chests
    • Some items will just be deleted as was intended (like trophies)

These are very modest exchanges with items players have listed in the forum and have suggested in chat.

    On deck this week:
    • Player login calendar for July
    • Continual work on comps
    • Working on suggestions, other than the ones under consideration outlined below.

If you missed the June 14 update, an extract is posted below. It has a summary of the more general game direction ideas.

To recap what we have posted and add perspective:

Calendar prizes were updated. These are basic participation prizes. I'm not sure you are going to get much more from these.
Prizes have been updated for some comps, and many of them appear to be very popular. This does not mean that we are letting the old competition prizes go unreported. We are diligent about doing this, even though it is incredibly time consuming.
Madness games have been updated. Some have been liked. Some people complained a lot about them. They were widely played it seems. Regardless, we do share both complaints and positive feedback virtually in real time.
We share your feedback on every comp: letters, banners, etc.
Various games and chests have been adjusted. Some people have loved the new promotional offers, others haven't. We report when there isn't a promotional offer because we receive a lot of feedback on that, especially with the new Gaea offers. People are vocal about the Buy 3, Get 1 Madness chests, and they are vocal when there isn't a gem purchase offer.
Lunettes was updated. Players reported that they were able to play almost the entire time it was running, others very much hated it. Both sides are reported. The usage appeared to be off the charts, so I'd speculate you will see it again.
We have asked about workshop elevation. We have yet to receive a reply. Just as a caution, we don't believe that upgrading it a single level will allow players to craft jewels to the highest levels.
We didn't accept that they just added back the lanterns game, we have pushed for left and right turns. We have pushed for an update to the prize packages as well.

If any of the above games move in reverse, (something like prizes or stamina in Round Tower) you can be sure your thoughts and comments are noticed. They aren't even filtered in many instances. We also push for enhancements like dust for a grail fragment exchange.

    Research for the future:
We gathered perspective from players re: knight marshal gold requirement. We actually ran a poll for this, and it was a 25 vote for 25 vote against. Every solution listed in that thread was presented. This was done at Gaea's request.

We are gathering suggestions from players re: dropping from alliance and hitting team mates to win the kills comps. We did this at Gaea's request, presumably because they received many complaints via support. We also made sure that the alternative kills comp by tier suggested was presented to Gaea.

We collected feedback about the knight rein function at Gaea's request. Comments from many perspectives were presented.

We have a list of suggestions under consideration that range from:

    "reassign all troops"
inventory cleanup - we believe this could be in a future release
    tier 6 defense
    daily chance
not awarding silver/bronze medals, only gold medals
not awarding troops in increments of 100/300/500

We support issues like the 255 grails, catch-up packs for new players, anything to retain and develop true new players (not alts).

We are going to continue to collect ideas to improve the schedule for tournaments. We want a vibrant game with several reasons to play running at the same time. We want there to be a variety of competitions, so that there will always be something for everyone. We hope we will get to the point where if there isn't a comp for you, there will be if you wait a couple hours. We are going to work on new mini-games/events, though this likely will not happen in the short term.

We'd like to see more exciting low/mid-priced offers, even multiple purchase offers available at any given time.

The bulk of the above hit list was generated specifically by player feedback across all channels.

We understand that communication matters. We try to get word to players via in-game messages, the forum, etc. We also understand that we will not make everyone happy. This is just a fact. Players are almost always passionate about their perspective, and it often conflicts with that of another equally passionate player. You have our firm commitment; however, that we will continue to try to make the game better based on overall feedback, not just a squeaky wheel or two. When we submit our information, we present screen caps from chats, forum links, and anything else to which we have access. They read like intelligence briefings. They take hours to prepare, but we do it to try to get everyone's perspective considered.

Support is not in our realm, but we do share your feedback and experiences.

I wish we had updates on a daily basis. We aren't at that point yet. However, we will continue to try to share things as we get word.
