    Fundamental Game Play Flaw

    G’day Guys

I have been playing this game on my iphone for the last 8 odd weeks and have realised that this game is pointless.

The longer you have played the bigger you’ll get and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it.
This situation is caused by the fact that
    1. You can hide your troops
    2. When your food runs out your troops don’t die (not sure what they are living on)
    3. You have a store house so that you protect an ample amount of your resources.. who cares if you lose the cream off the top.

This leads to the following strategy
    1. Customise your 1st city so it only creates food
    2. Customise your second city so it produces your other resources
    3. Build your troops in your first city and then post them to your second one.

No one can touch you, any attack is pointless as you will not be harmed, I had to get to 3,000,000 might to realise this so maybe I’m just a little slower than the standard player?

I understand you are trying to protect players from bullies but in a game like this there are much better ways to achieve this.
    Some options:

    1. Make food matter so that excess troops begin to die once food runs out (this would also need to apply to troops in the field as I’m sure that’s where the larger players stored their troops before the creation of the second city)
    2. Spoils are calculated as a percentage of the attacking force, eg attacker 100,000 might and the defender 50,000 might the attacker will get ½ as much as attacking someone of their own size.
    3. Make the storehouse protect a random percentage of its contents not a fixed amount steadily increasing the amount protected the lower resources stored.
    4. Allow individuals hide their troops only as a means of protection during war, it would be a good way of calculating who has won the war. Once the troops are hidden they cannot attack anyone from the opposing alliance until the end of the war. Perhaps with random repeat attackers they can protect themselves but again it would need to have a negative aspect such as stoping you attacking while you have hidden your troops and decreased production for a fixed period nominated by the player

Also your attack formula seems to be a little poorly thought out as it seems better to create as many small minions and not bother with the larger troops as you will be just as effective with smaller troops and the greater losses will be offset by the increase speed of production and the strategy outlined above.

Ok I have a difference of opinion but would like to see others.

I think that we need to keep troop desertion off and keep the hide troop feature. Not everyone can log on daily or hourly like others. The way it is gives the game a level playing field. This is a phone app.

The ammount that the storehouse protects is fine at 2 million max but I think the ammount of troops you can train in an hour is too low. The speed per level of barrack is too low which means you don't need very many supplies to compete at an active level. If we needed to protect more then 2 million of each supply then people would have to unhide to protect what they have.

Change the might of tier 1 wall units to match tier 1 troops and tier 2 also.

If they make it so that large players cannot take low might players supplies then I will just wipe out the troops and have a low might player go get the supplies for me. It won't change the fact that the low might player had too much stuff.

I don't know if you noticed that tier 1 units only have attack/defense of 1 and tier 3 have attack/defense of 4 so the extra time to train them is appropriate compared to tier 1.

The wilds need some way to defend themselves without wasting all my knights and rally points to defend them. Allow them to grow the same troops that I had to defeat when I took the wild or let me reassign troops to them and recall them home when needed.

Ricardo, if I'm understanding what noob is suggesting & you do as he suggests and get rid of the ability for us to store resources up to 2m you are basically giving the high mighters more power & the little guys that are using that feature to at least be able to build up in the face of constant attacks agains't them, little to no chance of survival. Having a storehouse that protects resources is vital for the little guys as is hiding troops. Being able to hide gold would be nice too. The big alliances are real bully's and are stealing & beating down the little guys.... it takes so long to build things (might) that I"ve seen many players in the last weeks just leave the game because they work so hard and then get completely bullied by these big alliances, it takes the heart out. It's really great for the guys who are big and in big alliances easy food, easy gold. I like the suggestion that there should be a fight system in place that players can only attack within a 200k might match either way.
