  • Loophole that allows for Unlimited Troops

I a curious what percentage of two city players are aware of, and Using the loophole?

For those not aware there is currently a bug in KoC BFTN that allows you to have unlimited troops, if you have two cities.

Here's how you do it. While you are lead to believe Troops must be feed of they will die or desert... it is not true (at least at this time). Troops will consume food if you have it, but will not die or desert if you don't have any. With this in mind, you only farm in one city. You only need enough food for building upgrades and troop training, not feeding your troops. You house most if not ALL your troops in the city that has no farms(and therefore no food). You will quickly see that your troops do not die or desert. Moving forward you build troops as fast as you can, and then reassign them to the city with no farms. You can even transfer food to the city that has no farms so that you can build troops in that city. Just transfer the food when you are ready to train the troops or the food will be used. YOu can literally build army in the 100's of thousands of troops by doing this and not having to feed them. You also find that in the city with no farms, you have massive surpluses of the other resources so you always have what it take to biuld more troops. Now all you have to decide on is the right mix of Barraks to Cottages for optimum troop training.

If you think I am BSing you are falling behind. If you scout several really high might players 5 mil plus, you'll find that 50% of the cities you scout have massive amounts of troops and zero food, this is because they are using the above described loophole.

So that you understand my motive, I think this loophole ruins the game, and will be the games downfall if it is not fixed. There is almost no strategy if you have all the resources you need(which the method I describe above will quickly provide) and are just racing to building more troops faster. Even the people taking advantage of this loop hole will get bore and stop playing.... Additionally i am ticked off, I invest lots of time into this game to have all the fun sucked out of it by a loop hole. To you high might players using this loophole, where is the fun in being at the top by taking advantage of a loophole only you know about? You are not one of the best if this is how you get to the top....

I will repost this several time over the course of the next few days as people should be aware...not ignorant

Mate this is not a cheat or loophole. If you had bothered to use search you would have seen the countless threads that explain this is a deliberate game mechanism implemented by Kabam. Troop desertion was removed deliberately on march 1st. It was announced via this forum, in Facebook and via in game mail. EVERYONE HAD THE SAME OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN OF IT. Stop making accusations that simply aren't true. Oh and learn to use search.

            Design flaws

Agree totally with this comment. An obvious flaw that shows lack of thought and playtesting by the developers.

That said there are various issues that need sorting out not least the raison d'etre for the whole game. There appear to be many inactive players in part because there are no ultimate goals to pursue so after a while everyone gets bored and stops playing.

Come on developers this could be a great game put more effort in please!

Rather than complain it why not just play the game the way it is designed. It wasn't a lack of thought on Kabams part or lack of play testing. This game used to have troop desertion and it was removed. You don't need a 2nd city to take advantage of this feature. You just need a well organized alliance. We were parking troops with other players long before the 2nd city came out. This allowed us to grow unhindered by food production issues. The 2nd city just means you don't have to rely on another person in order to best use this feature.

Kabam have stated troop desertion will never be back. It's been here since march 1st and will be here for a long time to come. So get used to it and play the game the way it is designed or move on to something more suitable for you.

As for new game features to make things more intersting they will come with time. If people spoke to the developers rather than just constantly complain at them then you will find they will listen and implement players ideas. Those ideas just need to be well, thought out and within Kabams business model. Each release has generally fixed an existing problem or added something new. Of course each release has added new bugs so it's not like they are perfect LOL

That's very interesting to know. I thoughti read somewhere that your troops will desert, if your food runs out so I held back on building huge troops! Is that the same for parking troops at an ally's base? Will my troops be returned if they can't be fed?

Troops originally did desert when the game was first released. Troop desertion was later removed on march 1st with the release of v4. Troops will not return if the city they are parked at runs out of food. The one danger is reinforcing troops always defend. So it's best to park troops with a big player who is unlikely to get attacked. They will need to be defending as well to discourage attacks. Even better if they have some wall to provide some extra protection for reinforcing troops. Having a 2nd city provides the advantage that troops can remain hidden.

What about for folks not playing in March? If it is not a loophole or cheat it should be common knowledge which it is not...

Can you post a link were it tells you this, or did you have to be playing on March 1st to not be ignorant of it? Why isn't it common knowledge and freely shared information...I think you are trying to squash this tread to maintain your sneaky loophole advantage

I am in an alliance, that is ranked in the top 20 and if people in out alliance knew they were not telling. I have a second city, I got to 1.5 million might with all troops that I built and upgraded farms to feed...Now i know how folks are getting up to 8 million might.

This will not be a secret any longer. I will post this info in a revised format every couple of days...I will no longer call it a cheat or loophole...but as a Starters guide that won't let the established players cheat you out of the experience...

What fun is to be better than others when the only reason you are better is because you know about such a significant, strategic, rule change that is un or under-document...

In order to keep up with the Jones I made this switch and it has not effect my cities happiness. Zero Food, 15% tax and 85% happiness. Happiness is directly correlated to your tax rate..
