  • Cicero stops with KOC - Goodbye to all!

First I hope that kabam will not delete this post again. I want to have the possibility to say goodbye to my fellow players and specially the players who (sometimes) supported my ideas.

Kabam doesn't want to be criticized. Kabam only wants players who tell them they are doing a great job. No, Rukirrii, Dana, Ganstack: you aren't doing a great job.
In start KOC is one of the nicest games in its kind. It has a nice chat, a nice balance between action and the possibility to play a bit less, when you are busy outside the game. In KOC you don't have to be afraid your troops are killed after you were sleeping or working, by example. (you will only get zeroed because of bugs and sometimes because of your own mistakes)

    New additions
In the last year almost all additions to the game made the game less stable and less balanced. Where should I start?

    - Campaign : nice addition, but with awful side effects. Like people with the best knights could play almost for free and were able to win unlimited troops/ gems/ etc for a while. Nice for the people that took advantage of it (I did too -> I am no better then anybody else), but it didn't made the game better

    - The unlimited adding of new gear. In the hope people would buy a bit more gems you added more and more gear, that made the game a lot worse. The gap between players is too big. The last few months you made some repairs, by adding gear to the event prices & purgentory. But before that is was way out of balance. Specially in EU-worlds. At the moment it is still out of balance, yet the group players with reasonable gear has become bigger.

    - Then someone at Kabam decided the map wasn't good enough. Nobody ever asked the opinion of the players. You just hired some designers that came with a new fancy map. Yet unplayable, specially the new map is too slow. But if you would have asked us before developing you could have saved a lot of money. And we would have a nicer game.

    - The biggest problem of all the new additions: Every new thing added more bugs. Development time used to create something new isn't used for old bugs & problems. So everybody is getting more and more dissapointed. Players are quiting and players are playing less. Why don't you see this? I don't understand.

    Support
Then the support. Players do have two possibilities in case of problems:
    1. Send a mail to kabam.
    2. Add a post to this forum.

Mailing with Kabam is pointless. Complaints are automatically closed. They even don't read the complaints.
The other way is the forum, that was the only way I sometimes get some answers. ...If the question was easily... I must honestly say most answers were given by fellow players, and not by kabam-support.

The problem with the forum-support is that they almost don't give an answer to anybody. The last few months I noticed only one way to get the attention from Kabam: Be as annoying as possible. Open a lot of topics about the same topic. You first need to irritate Kabam, and then suddenly they are able to react. Only problem: you will also get an infriction or ban.
But without being annoying your question is ignored. Or tens of people must have the same problem.
That is the only other time Kabam wants to react. Other questions? Silence!

My last tip to Kabam: Listen to your players. Ask your players what THEY want, not what you want. Be customer focus. Be honestly. Give answers. Try to understand the players that have complaints. Try to help them!
People are forgiving, if they see you really want to help they will give you time to solve things. But when you don't , then people will get ANGRY. Like me.

Why do I need to stop?
[removed] This is the way they treat loyal players of the game.
For me is this the end. I don't let me threaten by a company like kabam. In fact, I don't let me threaten by anybody. So I can only do one thing: I will stop playing the game. I will search for a game that has less bugs and better support. Created by developers that understands they need players to have a succesful game.

I wish all the players the best! I won't say the same to kabam, because I would be lying....

    Best regards,

    Cicero

I totally agree with Cicero. The way Kabam treats their players is ridiculous. And what happened with a active player like cicero today is beyond words. I'm playing this game for some time now and never heard so many people talk about quiting like right now. Kabam get yourself together and fix this!

Seriously! Why are you removing parts of the post of Cicero?? This is a forum but we can only talk about what you agree on?? This is pathetic!!!

        Heres where an issue lays

Recieved an answer from support today.
Don't think we can post from whom but here's a line from the message:

"I would like to inform you that, there are no issues in the Game due recent update."

This line was really in the message. Was flabbergasted to read it. I still can't believe it.
Then don't forget the in game banner that guaranteed no glitches if you updated with 18.0.1.

It seems to me that the game and it's administrators are descending into anarchy, the non stop launch of of severely glitched events coupled to the lack of communication from anyone at Kabam is causing a lot of unrest and making folks lose interest and leave the game.

The development team need to brought under control, the quality of their product is truly appalling and it's destroying the game. It's time to take a breath and fix the glitches before careering into more half cocked events and tourneys.

Cicero, I wouldn't leave the game or this board, stick around and watch the tea party

I tottally agree with Cic. Kabam stop with those silly actions. Be glad there are players who are critical and try to help you to make the game better. To said for words you can't deal with some criticisom. Sad to see how you have destroyed a fun game into one with lots of frustrations and lots of bugs. I also decide to quit not because of my allimembers of other players just because of the childies behavior from Kabam and the way they are threating the players. I hope more players will boycot Kabam so they don't earn no penny more from us. They put the money in there own pockets instead of using it for the playing fun from the gamers. I support my ally and specially Cic who really helped out a lot. Good luck to you all.

Come on Kabam, step up to the plate. If a player like Cicero has comments on the game, then his only interest is to improve the quality of the game. KoC is in principle a good game, but it has some shortcomings. Cicero pointed out s few and proposed some improvements. Please treat it as positive critasism and work together with players like Cicero to improve the game to next level.

I also totally agree with Cicero.I'm very unhappy what you have done with a nice player who only said his opinion. I don't believe in sending mails to kabam because the answer is nothing or we close this discussion. Why are you so stupid. I believe that it is better to meet a dictator than someone from Kabam.

I am very surprised You ask for feedback , then give cicero feedbak and indicates that there are errors in the game. Why then ask for feedback to us!!

Sadly I must agree I also have been a loyal player for over four years and have watched kabam degrade a truly great platform the loss of many players shows I find it odd that they don't understand even the big gemmers are going because there lack of attention to the players needs the reality is they could triple there profits with some well needed gamer advice

Kaban don't care as long as the $ roll in. When the income drops below a certain point they'll just pull the game and laugh at the suckers who spent so much

I have played this game sence its start so many years ago left and came back to start over as someone new each time. I agree with cic over the years it has gone down hill. What happened to the kic that was on myspace then moved to facebook it was always a challenge but one everyone enjoyed it was fair. At most you had more troops then no gemmers big deal. In my time on battle of the north i watched as kabam withdrew from support then major glitches. Now i watch waves of players quit gemmers and non gemmers alike kabam your fools there is no game that matches the lvl of this game and you flushed it down the drain.

I sadly totally agree with cicero. I started KoC 4 years ago. I thought that it was the best game for the tablet ever. I put a lot of effort in it to build the city's, to plan war and to make friends. I even was the Vice of the famous Duvelkes clan. Sadly every up-date the game changes in a negative way. Kabam's only motivation is to make money. The more money you put in to it, the better your gear and stats you get. Every up-date you be invited to buy more stone's. The simplicity of the game, what was in my opinion the key to it's successful, is gone. I am thinking about leaving this game to. There are a lot of games and game developers who knows what is right. The fun of playing games must be nr 1, not the money you make. Keep that in mind. Cicero, good luck. Keep up the good work.
