  • People Quitting because they can't compete

Over the last while I have watched as several (15 at last count) players have quit the game because they feel they cannot compete. With the constant changes in gear and no standard it is hard for many players to catch up and feel like they can compete on an even playing field. As soon as they get their gear levelled up Kabam introduces new gear. Please slow down on the release of new gear. If it continues there will be no one left to play. It will be a ghost town for the big gemmers. They will lose interest and then you will lose revenue. The game is better when people know what to strive for and at least feel that they have a chance of catching up.

Very true.. I'm at the moment one of those players who thinks about quitting too when nothing changes for non-gemmers.

      Sorry

Sorry to break the news to you, but Kabam could care less about non-gemmers or a level playing field. This "war game" is now about who can spend the most money. It's more of a casino game now than a war game. A "chance" to win this, spin this wheel, madness! So - here's a little Camelot history and future predictions.

Server after server after server was opened. The game was extremely fun. 212 knights were the highest, about 75% of players built up and stayed open 24/7, troops were trained, not bought, resources were a must for training, getting farmed was alliance booting material, and kills were easy to find, the game was fun! The game had a semi-level playing field (gemmers always have the advantage, but why not, they pay for it) but most importantly, there was HOPE for the non-gemmer that he could compete. Hope is all you need to keep the game fun. Even if it's false hope.

Then someone at Kabam decided to butcher the game. Introduce troop chests for buying, gear, BLOOD FURY, and other idiotic changes. Blood fury caused many to close who'd never close before. Troop chests separated the gemmer from the non-gemmer in gaps too big to overcome. Now instead of a 30 mil might player zeroing a 5 mil player, it suddenly became a 200 mil might player destroying a 5 mil non-gemmer in three hits with blood fury.

So the little non-gemmer closed up shop, and quit the game. No point in playing.

So then - gemmers and people who should but can't quit the game because of all the "friends" they've made in their alliance - they all start whining to Kabam because the server is dead. No one but other massive gemmers to fight. Not fun anymore.

So Kabam wrings out the last bit of money from (players who have gear named after them) and others on dead servers, and decides to merge.

So now, servers are merged, and mainly gemmers from all over can spend gobs of money buying troops, endlessly competing in money grabbing might tournaments, and so on.

This will continue for a year or so until people get bored again, more people quit because they can't compete, and servers go silent and dead again.

Will another merger be needed so (Crazy Insane Gemmer #1) can fight (Stupidly Wasted Money on This Game Gemmer #2) for the most money spent title? We shall see....

      LOL!

      There.

Now get off Santa's Lap, I'm done telling stories.

Jim can't be anymore correct. This isn't a war game, this is a battle of credit cards. No skill involved. Myself included, as well as countless other players would pop a bark skin and stay open 24/7. Even at 30m a zero was hard to get. Back when wall was useful and served a purpose. Even when a train with Arthur or a DI was considered the greatest gift. Lol

Those days are over. Fury & troop chests ruined the game. Blah.

Well said, completely correct on all points but I don't even give it a year. My very active gemming alliance is almost gone already due to alt hitting/cheating in season 4, even if you do spend a lot you can't keep up unless your willing to give up your morals!

Not only are people quitting, Kabam is dropping all Kindle Fire users. I know some players drop alot of money, but if kabam had a thousand players who dropped $20 a week, that still adds up. Bad marketing, bad customer service, bad tech support, greed, this is just a terrible company.

Listen people, don't think you're blameless in this. Lots of you begged and begged for the world merge. Now you're complaining because it made it harder to compete. What did you think was going to happen when you combine 7 worlds worth of big spenders in one world?

I knew long before the merge that is was going to be a bad idea for the non gemmers. I stated as such many times. That's why I have taken it upon myself to liberate all the wilds in the world I am in. This is the most fun I have had since the troop chests and skin/ furys have been introduced. And the daily mails I receive are hilarious. So if anyone is in world 130. Come join the pirate hounds and help us liberate all the red wilds.

The answer to this is very simple. Players who are top of the game and very strong spend a lot of money. Players who are weak i.e the ones that quit because they feel they cannot compete spend no money or very little money. Kabam does't care about these weak players because they spend no money. Get it?

                          Greetings,

We have been closely monitoring and analyzing the number of players who are participating in events before and after the merge and with the recently extended prize structure that made its debut during Camelot's Mightiest Champion Season 4. After looking at participation numbers, we do agree that the prize list still needs to be extended even further than it currently is and we are in the process of figuring out what that fine balance will be.

We will be introducing a new extended prize tier sometime soon after the Yuletide Celebration event is over and we will continue to analyze participation numbers and player feedback when this change has been implemented.

                          We appreciate your feedback!

Given you were told this was happening as soon as the merge took place....what's taken you so long to decide you need to restructure the prize tiers? Have you been monitoring and analysing the number of players training troops as well? I merged into Pellibore 129 on the 15th Dec and I'm amazed at how dead the server is...a lot of real estate but it's mostly abandoned.
