Kindlegate…a long string of misleading promises and misleading information going back to the announcement of merges on the 7th of October. Promises that an update was in the pipeline and due imminently, coupled to several misleading reassurances that Kindle users would be merged automatically into the new servers on December 15th….which never happened (all of which is posted in the General discussion and News and announcements section of this board..Copies taken). On December the 15th we are promised a move by the end of January 2015, and on the 20th December we are told that Kindle will no longer be supported after January the 20th 2015……an announcement you brought forward from January IMO. Why do I think that?
So where do this stream of misleading posts leave the credibility, reputation and relevance of the game team? Did the game team know Kindle was to be discontinued? Were they complicit in these misleading posts or are they just unwitting and hapless messengers who knew nothing of the Kindles discontinuance? Either way it seems to raise some serious issues about the game teams relevance in providing players with information (this is not the first time they've posted misleading information)…..Does it not? Someone from Kabam should take responsibility for telling the Kindle community why they were misled over such a long period of time and allowed to waste such large amounts of time and money.
You’ve now promised Kindle users “a gift package that will ease your migration onto another mobile OS”……and given you've said you will reach out (please stop reaching out, it sounds seriously affected) to users on an individual basis I assume you will be offering different players different packages…….but for most, unless the gift is a tablet or ipad I don’t think your gift package will be of much value, so when you say in your e-mail, ”so nothing is lost” that’s not true is it? All the effort I’ve put into my Kindle account will be lost as I have no other mobile OS platform to play it on….and others in the Kindle community have said the same (on these discussion boards).
