The support at Kabam is a joke. I have numerous e-mails to them and none have been resolved successfully. I will be reporting it to Angie's list and elsewhere, including iTunes.
I have spent tens of hundreds of dollars buying their expensive GEMS. It's easy to get sucked into this game thinking you need to build you defenses ASAP in the first 7 days of protection. You don't - just make sure your storehouse covers you. Of course it would have been nice to know that upfront but there is no manual on playing the game - just different forum threads to search out and by making costly mistakes, i.e., finding out the hard way. But here are some really questionable items to consider before playing this game.
1. There are lots of players around you with bubbles . . . indicating they are new players when in fact they looked at the game and left. Even after the 7 days of protection they will still be there indefinitely. The impact gives the impression that there are MANY players around you who will attack you . . . SO buy gems and build up your defenses!! Don't worry these are bogus accounts that have not been removed when they should have been removed. Good luck on trying to find new recruits for your alliance. They are left there to increase your anxiety and motivate you to buy GEMS to build up your defenses while you are in a cocoon of protection and simply building like mad.
2. There are no manuals or instruction guides. You will find out things the hard way like (after buying peace and gems to play a strategy. You can't execute the strategy because peace is no longer available for the same time period you used it. In other words you can't use it consecutively. It would have been nice to know that upfront. That is only one example. Did support do anything? Well they said "oops - sorry" but you spent real dollars to buy the peace and maybe other GEMS or at least resources that took a long time to build up!
3. There are sever network outages and sever malfunctions. Messages don't make it to key players for coordination. Scouts do not send reports until after your second attempt - sometimes this can be very costly in time up to 30 minutes or more. Sure makes it hard to execute a strategy without timely information and communication. "oops - sorry . . . btw here is a survey to fill out on our support response".
These server and network problems make other bad things happen like wasting 1000 Swordsman, Catapults, and Battle Rams to take over a wilds to increase resource s only to win (lose the troops) and not get the wilds credited to your account or an increase in resources. More Time, Money and resources spent for nothing. "oops-sorry" This happened to me TWICE!!
4. Support is NON existent - anything you submit will be ceremoniously closed out without resolution and you will even be sent a survey to fill out a service questionnaire. If you are lucky they will say try forcing a reload of the app. That works less than 50 percent of the time. If information went into the bit bucket then it is gone. It just won't be there because of a network load balance or serve load balance hiccup and not efficient buffers in place to capture the info. Its simply gone and nothing will get your time money and resources back. But they will still tell you to try the Microsoft three finder salute strategy of a reboot when the app freezes.
5. Your attempts to get someone's attention at Kabam will go unnoticed. I doubt that they will even have the intestinal fortitude (guts) to leave this thread posted on their forum.
In fairness this could be a great app and if it WORKED then i wouldn't mind the money i paid out in GEMS. I still don't like being miss lead, not given information about how to play the game, losing valuable time and resources and unable to execute strategies.
So BOTTOM Line BUYER BEWARE. I wish somebody had posted this information on their site before hand. I may have thought twice about getting involved in this game.
