Wall was effective if you had a good knight set to marshall and an army to backup.

With these addition, i fear wall will become to strong. (but i like it, it's more my style)

    50k t3, 50k t2 and 100k t1 + 200 knight set to marshall + armies behind you get that bonus of strenght

It would take a few wave of 90k troup to just broke the wall.

It's think about it before wasting your armies on walls, because you waste your armies on non-armies unit.
Wall build faster, so the won will walls will recover faster.

While I have yet to run any test against them. It appears as if they will give the wall a purpose, finally.

Actually with the update I find that walls actually train quite slow compared to troops. Even when moving my high knight to foreman they are slow to train. It makes sense though because they are more powerful now and also give more might than troops. I am actually glad for the walls. It will introduce a new dynamic to the game. a player with decent wall defenses and a decent level knight on Marshall could easily defend against several waves of 90k troops.

I guess we will see how this works out because it has the potential to make the highest tier players nearly invincible.

Even without the new wall defences it would take 5 or 6 waves to knock down a full level 10 wall. Its happened to me more than once The new tier 3 pretty much double the overall strength of walls. Problem is they are very slow to build. However if you can manage to fill a wall then it's going to be tough to get through it.

The more I think about it the more I realize that a person with even a nine wall completely filled and a million might army or more sitting behind will be invincible. You can throw 90k troops at it but then again you might as well just throw them in e trash.

Not invincible but it will be very costly to take them down. So the trick is to train up enough troops, and get reinforcements, so you are big enough to discourage major attacks. Once you reach that point you can start piling on the wall defenses. It's the approach I use and it works pretty well. Of course occasionally someone hates me enough to try and kill me anyway LOL The usually give up before they finish getting through my wall. Not always though of course. If I lose all my wall then I can hide any remaining troops whilst I train up more and start all over again.

The reason many people hate wall defenses is because they try to do it the wrong way round. They start with wall defenses before they have the army to back them up. Then when someone takes an interest in them they get wiped too easily. That and the inflated wall might.

Also I see Kabam set the might for tier 3 wall to 30 which is about right. So it seems they have listened, at least partially, to players concerns about inflated wall might. Shame they didn't fix the tier 1 and tier 2 wall might but it's a start

Curious to hear your thoughts on building order with walls... Ive found T3 to be more worthwhile to produce then T2 and to build up T1s as a shield for the T3s. I was only ever able to max out T1s on a L10 wall and build about 5k T3s before they were all wiped by about 250-300k T1 troops. Honestly see it can have its purposes but even with a high level knight all the enemy needs to do is throw enough t1s to take them down and it took you maybe a week to a month to build them up. Plus its generally my opinion and policy to not build walls unless your troop queues are completely full.

Good discussion and I agree with the last person on building walls. First, have full troop ques any left over will go to walls. Another quesiton, as I have yet to even build any wall.. (been too busy). Does the wall still get Knocked out before troops completely?

So order of units getting distroyed is as follows?

                  1) Wall T1
                  2) Wall T2
                  3) Wall T3
                  4) Troop T1
                  5) Troop T2
                  6) Troop T3

If it still is this case what is your guys opinion on if it went in order by all the T1, then T2, and finally T3?

                  Just a thought..

Just a little tale to add to this thread, as I wasn't too sure whether to now bother building walls.

I spent a week or so training up t1/2/3 wall troops straight after the update. I ended up with 8-10k of each type (90k (ish) in total).

Just to clarify my position, I had approx 12/13m might in troops at this point, they were unhidden and a lvl 211 knight was set to marshal.

I had a 90k t1 attack come in, which wiped out all my t1/2 wall and a few of the t3. It also zeroed out the person who sent the attack. about an hour or so later I started getting 1 militia attacks coming in, literally 9 at a time, when 1 hit, another one set off.

When the first one hit, I was amazed to see that it took out 2 of my t3 wall troops. Same thing with the second one, 1 x Malitia took out 2 x T3 Wall.

So - moral of the story - don't listen to people telling you that you need to have a high knight as marshal or troops unhidden etc, as even with all that... 1 militia will still take out 2 t3 walls...
