- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.

- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create ?sock puppet? accounts ? multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator?s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

    It all needs to stop

Very good points, runey71. You "get" it.

Living in the real world, of course any logical person would see a death threat - on the internet or elsewhere - as the most severe infraction of game rules, laws, and basic human decency. Anyone doing so needs to be investigated and punished accordingly, both in game and in real life.

    Doesn't that go without saying?

However, is that an excuse to keep up the completely inappropriate content on chat? Somebody else is doing "more worser" things than you, so it's hunky-dorey to have inappropriate, illegal sexual chat with minors? To make veiled threats against people and/or their children? To continually insert other inappropriate matter unrelated to the game and prohibited by the rules?

Why not show a sense of decency and respect for other people? There was a poor girl (9 or 12, I can't recall) on not long ago who asked if people would stop using bad language. She did it very succinctly and politely, and was then told to "F___ off".

As runey71 said, the ignore button is not a solution to the problem. That prevents me and only me from being subject to the inappropriate material. I am not concerned with it, since I'm a "grownup" who has seen or heard most of it before. I'm not gonna cry over it. I am concerned with people who have a blatant disregard for a standard level of decency in open, mixed communication forums where there are kids and others who don't deserve to have to deal with it.

The Camelot chat is a privately owned and operated communications channel, and they have the right (and responsibility!) to limit what level of content is allowed. The big complaint here is not necessarily the inappropriate players, since people like that are less than a dime a dozen on "teh internets". The concern is Kabam not providing a reasonably "safe", decent, pertinent atmosphere.

If your sense of humor breaks the established rules and possibly laws, then simply ignoring you isn't sufficient. I don't know who you or your alliance are, or even which "world" you are in but speaking of explicitly raping someone or lascivious comments to minors/children is also quite the threat or crime.

I see some of the guys above making jokes about peoples' corns and whiny kids etc. etc. etc. I get it, deflecting the argument with an attempt at humor. Sounds like they're the ones being referred to, I wonder why they don't really defend their actions instead. Are there two sides to the story? Hmmm... maybe no one knows about that because they aren't broadcasting it out for everyone to have to muddle through. Take screencaps and report 'em. Doesn't make your behavior any more acceptable.

I believe Apple complaints may have to be the next level of escalation. I was *shocked* to see the game has an age rating of 4+ with the open chat feature included and mostly unmonitored.

Yea, they really need to waste man power on monitoring Chat and alliance names 24/7 instead of fixing the actual game breaking problems
24/7 monitoring is not what is called for, or required. They built a "report abuse" button and seem to disregard many of the reports. They decided to add a chat feature and give it rules... it is their responsibility to upkeep and enforce. Including real consequences for constantly repeating offenders.

It's a game. Play the game. Talk to friends. Throw a little "smack talk" at enemies. Want to chat about sexual escapades? Go to the web or find an adult-oriented forum for it.

Kabam, please do a better job enforcing your own rules!

The internet is subject to the same laws as the country where the server is located. So anything doesn't go. Learn the law mate.

                  Racism on chat

Just wanted to say that I would also like to know what happens to players that constantly have racist names and such as every person on global reports them and yet there they are again the very next day..is there no way you can do the three strike rule then either ban them or at least force them to change their name..Cos like the user above said there's kids seeing it and maybe even getting influenced by it,it's just not fun to go around saying u want to be a nazi!

Kabam certainly have the ability to enforce name changes. The three strikes rule may be more difficult to implement. It would certainly be easy for Kabam to ban any given kabamid. However the offender may not even have a kabamid or they could create a new one. Apple also recently made it more difficult for devs to track individual users. I've been out of the dev game for a while now so I'm not sure if an alternative has been found yet. Previously a dev could track someone by their unique id. If that was still possible then Kabam could ban players based on that and that device could never play the game. I could keep going with various issues but suffice it to say banning a user is easier said than done.

I totally agree with everything in this post and would also like to add the childish ability these players have to "nuke the server" or "crash the server" needs to be corrected immediately by kabam...it really can't be that hard, as the capability to paste is not an option in alliance "message everyone" (which is also annoying btw in such an unfriendly typing environment!) it shouldn't be capable on Global either...please fix this so "normal" non-ignorant players can enjoy their game...My ignore list is VERY full...and I've done all I can do as an individual player.

Unfortunately the process to get help for someone considering suicide is different for each country. ie they will generally have a hotline you can call. Best best is to try and find out as much info about the person (country, real name, where they live etc) and call that hotline for them. They should then be able to do something hopefully. If you need help finding out what process to follow for a given country feel free to send me a private message and I'll do what I can to help.

It is not as one sided as you say it, the things you say to me and my companion Daydreamers are as offensive as anything. For example:
"I've had a hard day at work! My kids are being naughty and roughhousing! My corns ache!"
Do you really think anyone wants to be subjected to that filth?! No one wants to hear about irl stuff like kids and gross corns!

                            Sincerely,

Cretins like you should be banned. Puerile drivel.

Having an opinion about people who have to whine now means they are worthless? I find your holier than thou attitude extremely immature.
