    Thank you for your message,

There are several ways to progress without paying, for example the Divine Inspiration can be won in the Merlin Boxes Game, and we will drop the Crests in the Pictish Camp soon so you can earn the Second City Deed

It takes ~50 DI to max everything, in 3 weeks of playing I haven't won a single one.

Kabam stop blowing it out ***** you know full well attacking over 100 pict camps is a goal joke. You might as well tell me to gather 2000 grains of sand with chopsticks. Just because it"s theoretically possible doesn't make it good game design. ****

I will probably get flamed for this but.... Complaining about the Crest grind Kabam is talking about is not constructive. Truth is, no one has seen it work yet. Maybe you will get multiple crest from a single raid...maybe none. Can't say until it goes live.

Fact is, Kabam is a business, and businesses want your money. Pay $20 for the second city is Kabam's way of doing this. If you don't want to pay, then no city....right now. It's like complaining that an iPad costs too much. That is the price. Don't like it, don't buy it.

Hey, at least Kabam is giving you the chance to earn one for no real money. It will take some work and effort to get the reward but, a little effort is good for everyone. Too Many people seem to want everything right now with no wait.

Give the crest program a chance. If everything was easy, it would be boring.

          Btw,
No, I do not work for Kabam.
Yes, I used my real gamer name to post this.
Yes, I did pay the money to get a second city. I plan on grinding crests with everyone else though to try and win a third...if possible.

the problem is the game is being flaunted as free to play. That model works as long as people have access to the game mechanics that are available to paid customers. take a game like tribes ascend, if you don't pay up front you have to unlock stuff, but you are not gimped in the process, and it only takes like a week of play to get the more expensive items anyway. In this game, not having a second city is a massive disadvantage in relation to other players. And there's no way in hell you are gonna get that amount of pict camps in any reasonable amount of time, and even trying to get them eats away at your might with no benefit and even further widens the gap between paying and non paying customers. this is what is called pay to win . Not free to play. People would be less angry if it was straight up sold as pay to win. problem is they are marketing to casual players a competitve free to play game... Bt unless you pay you have 0 chance of competing, almost any other free to play game ut there does not do this because it ultimately throws away a lot of potential customers, and once people realize they have to pay to have a chance, they say **** this and move on. That's why other games that u free to play charge mostly for cosmetic things etc, they don't even bother touching core gameplay mechanics in fear of making the game unbalanced for non paying customers. This is basically a pay to win game trying to hide the fact that it is pay to win behind a really ****ty facade of free to play. Why? Because they want to suck in more players first with that dangling free carrot and once they start getting competitive give them all stick.

kabam has gotten too comfortable with the pay checks they are getting from people who are addicted to this game and have gotten lazy as developers. They are making design choices to suck out more money from the field of cows they currently own. It really shows in the poor craftsmanship of the UI that the developers don't really care anymore. If I was them I would stop this this pay 2 win ****, potentially get less money in the short term, but focus on UI and game improvements, fix core issues like chat lag etc, then market the crap out of it, and guess what word of mouth especially in social media these days is a powerful thing. You are gimping your potential player base hardcore with the finicialmodel you have now. I would argue with more reasonable micro transactions that appeal to a more diverse wallet size you would increase your profits. The pay to winppl will still buy the **** out of everything to some extent, but if you balance the game properly it should be possible to put and upper threshold on just how much you can game the system with money, (example wait 2 days for research upgrade or pay 2 dollars). Take an example like HoN, paying gives you access to heros faster... Same as LoL. but every hero is equally as powerful. see the difference? You don't sacrifice imbalancing gameplay for money, and League of legends makes more money then you will ever see in your lifetime kabam. you know why? Because they care about providing a balanced game play experience to all their player base. Because they are nice people? No. becuase they are greedy little ****s like you but they have more ambition and foresight as to how to encourage people to give them money. They are doing what you are trying to do, but 1000 times better. getting a large player base has a snowball effect on social media etc. Having a sharp line in player power between paying and non paying customers has a huge negative impact on new players. You want everyone to get exicted to keep playing and the more People play regularly the more willing they are psychologically to justify spending money on it. You could easily for example have paid for skins for your castle... Gingerbread houses for cottages, youn****ing name it. You are lazy as hell in your design choices and quality of the experience. If you get more players to play longer without them feeling like they need to pay, enjoyment factor goes up. because they enjoy it psychologically they can justify money on it, you move in for the kill here and offer them content for 2-5 dollars a pop. Impulse buy ftw, Step 3 ??? step 4 profit. it is not rocket science. I guess getting a larger player base takes ambition which kabam lacks, too bad you will never make as much money as other free to play titles. But you will get your check at the end of the month. It's the difference between operating a video lottery machine , and a casino.... Which one makes more money?...

With a level 250knight it's easy. And your jealous because you obviously don't read the game mechanics.

Not everyone wants to pay to buy a lvl 250 knight. My issue with the game is that there are many MANY games out there that are "free" and give you 10+ cities/worlds. We're not able to support the size of our armies with a single city and they've made "earning" one extremely hard. The whole "oh well you can get a deed in merlins free play" is ridiculous. I'd like to see the formula for that drop rate.

Please link to detailed post of formulas for how battles work? As far as I know developers have constantly avoided posting any information as to how this works. And they will never post drop rates because people will laugh in their face lol.

100 crests is a bit excessive for a game that has no scripts yet.

this is the first game where u need to pay for a second
                        city
as i told this in my other games no1 wanna believe me
there is a so dumb idea from a company
this game is not playable with one city
THE POINT IS U ALL WILL NEED TO PAY FOR FURTHER CITIES
finally a lot of player will quit

Looks like I need to quit

I understand that Kabam wants money, but asking $20 for a second city is just too much, like others say. The in-app purchase, which was once called "micro payment" is no longer micro because of companies like Kabam. People would be more tempted to buy if it is less than $5, and Kabam would get more volume. People might even spend more on other goodies if they start buying. But starting out with $20 discourages many.

The game has become so one-sided due to this. The 'free' way of getting it is next to impossible - you could've avoided fooling people this way by not introducing it the stupid crests/round tower feature. I have a level 8 round tower and I hardly get any crest, may be one in 10 hits. How do you expect one to collect 100 such items when every alliance wants people to not lose might unnecessarily?

You guys are a bunch of babies. If you don't like the way Kabam is trying to make money, then leave. Now. No one will miss you. If you want a second city, farm crests till you get them. But it will take a while. This is fair. I payed 20 dollars to get mine, and it would be unfair if you could get yours in a few days of attacking pict camps.

You don't need to buy experience to level your knight up to 200+. It'll take time. Just send him to a wild beside your castle every minute, and he will gain experience.

What res are you trying to boost out? Whatever you are shortest on, you should be able to farm for.

This game is not like every other game out there, stop comparing it to your standards of what it SHOULD be.

Hey you're the sucker who paid the money. Don't hate on people because they feel they are getting the shaft.

Working for the crests should not be impossible. Otherwise just say you need to pay to play. Having to attack 1,000 picts to maybe get 100 crests is not a reasonable drop rate, especially when you are losing more resources than you gain, and the picts are somehow stronger than your troops when they appear to be the same. Kabam can do whatever they want, but they should have some integrity and set up a reasonable way to earn something rather than basically strong arming players into paying by making it so difficult. Right now I don't even see getting crests in a week of constant attacking.
