Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing ? The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you?re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don?t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like ?you people.?
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not ?flame?, ?troll.? or ?haze?.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don?t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don?t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create ?sock puppet? accounts ? multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator?s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

    Dear Kabam,

    we, the players of koc, have seen it all - at least we thought - but... scamming us? I mean I, personally, am not sure what to think of your tricks that you are trying to pull now. What am I talking about? I am talking about the 'Adios August Chest'. First of all, the description is wrong. Now sure, this can happen, but the part that bothers me is that you seem to show no interest in fixing this problem. No, even worse, you are ignoring it completely and making it worse! A little bit after the chest was placed in the shop, another chest showed up. The 'Epic Adios August Chest'. Same description of chests, only a bigger amount of possible winnings, but also in this chest, the winnings do not match the description. Tickets were sent to your support, and were, surprisingly, answered pretty much instantly. Good job on the quick answer to make an excuse! Now try to also respond this quick to people that actually have a problem ingame! Taking at least 1 week between every post in the ticket is not what is supposed to happen I think.. even after 'upgrading' and 'improving' your player support. Can not improve what is non existent... Right?

    If you can add a new chest to the shop, you can also change the description of it, BEFORE adding it to the shop and disappointing your players with incorrect prizes, as well as that you can change the description of the 'normal' version of the chest.

    Sorry for the harsh words, but changes will have to be made, soon. Improve your game, or milk the * out of it faster before shutting it down, because you are losing one of the games that used to be an actual good and ejoyable one. USED to be. Get your * straight and end the game if you do not want to put in any more effort (which it very much seems like), or bring back some of the good times we used to have on it > referring to my other 'new oldskool world please' post that I made before. Speaking of which... I can not find it anymore, have i, as only one because of starting the discussion, been blocked from it so I can not go on about it, or has it completely been deleted because you didn't like what you were reading?

    I am going to assume that none of the staff have read all of the above, nor will they ever do, and if they do, they will not respond. If they do, make it a good response, that isn't yet another excuse and promise that looks.... good?... and won't be kept or held.

      Well said. I bought 11 chest(with free gems lol) and was pissed off that low and behold I got none of what was actually supposed to be in the chests. I did not bother to screen shot it or write Kabams excellent (sarcasim here) support in regards to this. I know it would be a waste of time and effort as it would fall on idioticlly deaf ears by someone claiming to play the game and understands the frustration I feel just to give me some speed ups to compensate me for my wasted time.

        Only bought 1. Was going to be mad that I could buy multiple grand prize chests @12 gem each when one wheel spin costs 11-15. Very nice bait n switch. Hope you all get a bonus. I do have SS of advertised and actual prize. I will not submit a ticket to Kabam "support".

          Yes I got caught too. Should be immune to the Kabam tactics by now but they keep trying to catch us out all the time. Events for Trophies in Season 6 and the glitch associated with people getting double the value of the gems they had already spent then this glitch to trick people into buying chests way less valuable than advertised. Probably a few things in between I've missed but it keeps happening.

          I've put a complaint into Kabam and now waiting for my automated reply back to which i will complain again and then get another reply from a real person like 'Greg'. 'Greg' is about as useful as the automated response though LOL

              False advertising a bunch of bull crap it says you will get one of the following and lists only Grand chests from the last wheel . Come on kabam thats very very shady.

                Gem refund

                There not much about this topic as I hoped. The chest clearly described one thing and gave another. I bought 30 and have a screen shot to prove it. It describe a way higher prize, but paid out a very lower side prize. The epic August chest was a completely tricky fraud move on Kambam part, if it was done purposely or not. I would hope to see an admin response to this matter, everyone can understand making a mistake. But sweeping it under the rug or not making the situation right, is straight up thief status. No other business would get away with this type of behavior. So please do the honorable choice and do what is justified and right.

                    If there was ANY wording such as "chance of" or "one of the following" or any other sort of "fine print"-type of wording, then you got what you paid for, which was a gamble; a virtual lottery ticket.

                        I bought 0 of those chests cause most of the chests are bad now . plus I have been playing kascams oops I mean kabams games for awhile and I know how little I should actually expect from them but some how they manage to lower the bar more ( what is lower then the basement cause that is where the bar is ATM )

                          In addition to earlier post

                          Sending out a message including the chest of interest which this foes have the correct prizes in it, is not enough as a 'sorry'. People bought the chest for the promised prizes, not for unexpected ones, not even in a free chest. Give the players what they deserve. Run a check through your database on purchases on these two chests. Repay they people their gems and send out a sorry mail for the inconvenience. Leave the winnings of the chest to the players. That's on you.

                            I did also mention "one of the following" in addition to "chance of" / "chance to win".

                            Basically, you need to thoroughly read what is there, find the least valuable thing, and assume that is what you will get. If it turns out differently, then you can be surprised. Make the buying decision based on the worst prize though.
