  • Grail Fragment event

You need to make it so these fragments can only be stored in your troop city. Or be able to select which city you want them stored. If you are trying to amass your total for trade in, it means you will have a lot exposed. Otherwise it's going to be like everything else. People will only hit the cities with no troops and still be able to get your fragments. It may be reduced by 40% but it doesn't matter win you can get hit multiple times. This will also promote people to open as opposed to just sitting there staring at their closed city. Otherwise this is gonna be another failed and "no fun" event.

I agree, if you can choose where these are located then it's easier to defend... I could just port to anyone's city knowing it's not their troop city and hit over and over till I have reached that players maximum tgen move to the nex. Good point....

      Passing on this event

This is just like the last collect and steal event. Yes we do need to balance the players knights, but the way this is set up the bigger knights will just get bigger. Once i collect grail fragments they shouldnt be stolen, at least not to the exent this event currently states will be allowed.
Each gear type should have its own chest which you can purchase with the fragments.
Another thing these chest are like most every other, they have a few good to great items, but also have scrap item that you don't want to win after spending the time to collect the grail pieces to get. Which inveribly most of us end up getting.

As its set up now, I don't plan to collect any grail fragments, I don't have the knights to protect them.

      Good luck all!!

Looks like a great idea but badly implented. I would sugest the following

            1. Have the grail piece's on kept in city1 ( yes some have other cities as their troop city however this is easy to implement)

            2. Prizes should not be random chests!! Have you learnt nothing from random stat gear? Give us a fixed prize in exchange maybe a random chest in the mix but not for every single exchange.

            3. Review the amounts that can be stolen and make sure the system works
            3.

I agree with Yeti - a potentially great idea, but needs to be reworked in order to be successful. The grail fragments system seems to have been popular in Avalon - t least I heard good things about it when I started playing there, although it was put on hold in Avalon before I collected enough fragments to turn in for a decent chest. The initial setup in the NA worlds does not seem well thought out, though.

As others have said, the prizes just aren't great, particularly since they are all random chests with at least one dud prize. I would be seriously annoyed to work hard winning contests and attacking my neighbors for enough fragments to trade in for the legendary chest only to open it and get a sacred guidance (useless to me), or another worthless firestorm gear piece with the wrong random attributes, or a level 9 emerald or diamond. And given that most random prize chests give out the booby prize 99% of the time, that is exactly what I would be likely to win.

In the announcement, you cite "give you more flexibility in the choice of your prize" as one of the benefits. But really we have no choice here, other than whether to keep saving up for a higher tier chest or cash in what we already have.

Please take Yeti's suggestion #2 above:

I have already advised my full alliance of 100 active players not to participate in this event until the random prize gimmick is done away with and reworked. Nobody wants to spend 14 days stealing Grail fragments to win a worthless pair of firestorm pants. I have also advised them as VC to not open any might for any Grail fragments contests and not to waste any training items or troops for TKs and train a thons. Great concept, poorly implemented. Please rework as soon as possible

This was supposed to help give is a choice of the prize we wanted but the chests are full of random stuff we either don't want or don't need. We don't want to collect these fragments and then get 1 cyclone from a chest. Or a guidance when we have every hero at 100. By your advance description, we thought it would be specific prizes to choose from. This is just a "clearing" event because the new gear is around the corner. The goal is to get people to clear out as much troop chests as possible so when the new gear event gets dropped on us, we will have to buy more chests to try and get the new gear.

                      Hello all,

We implemented a wide assortment of prizes in order to try and target a wide variety of players. I know some of you may have less need for some of the prizes but we are limited in the amount of prizes we can put up in the Round Tower. I will forward feedback for future prizes to try and narrow the prizes in the future. We are still gauging this feature and any feedback will be helpful. Thanks!

                        Some Feedback on Your Goals:

What we want this system to accomplish:

                        1. Give you more flexibility in the choice of your prize.

FEEDBACK: There is the choice of 5 prize chests. Each prize has 9-17 random items within it. Odds are there is NOT an equal chance of obtaining each random item. The chests are likely weighted towards the least wanted item in each chest as is the typical mantra for the word ‘random’ in the KOCBFTN developer vocabulary. As others have said, our choice of prize is diminished greatly and not very flexible (see the next item in your list of goals).

                        2. Give a wider range of players access to some of the best items Camelot has to offer.

FEEDBACK: The most affordable chest is 63,000 fragments. Assuming those looking for this chest are placing beyond 50th in the flash ToMs and the prizes stay consistent, then their prize is 500, 200, 100 or 15 fragments. Assuming they don’t have any fragments stolen, it would take the average player who places between 51-100 126 flash ToMs to save 63,000 fragments. And the items they are most likely to end up with are an Iron Hammer, a Fertile Wind or a Copper Exp Charm. That is disappointing.

                        3. To make events a bit more fair and a lot more fun.

FEEDBACK: I can see where the fun may come into play because Purgatory was a lot fun when there was the opportunity to steal trophies and trade them in for prizes that could benefit your gaming experience. But it won’t be fun because this system is not fair. You’ll have the small players vying for a 63,000 fragment Iron Hammer while the big players continue to gain the best gear, hammers, jewels and opportunities to level up heroes.

                        4. Increase amount and diversity of weekly events.

FEEDBACK: It remains to be seen how this can be changed. I’ll wait to pass judgment.

                        5. Enhance the liveliness of your gaming experience.

FEEDBACK: The opportunity is there. But there is no way the average player will be able to hold on to 850,000 fragments to have shot at obtaining a worthwhile prize.

Hi there brento box are you a new GM to cover koc now rukkirri and ezzikie have been laid off? Have you had much contact with this game before? The prize list is awful !! Yes there is a "chance" of something useful and we all know what sort of odds these chances are. I would suggest re thinking your prize list ASAP we do not one random chances of something useful and especially not pumping lots of might and time in when we cannot defend those items. Try looking through what is being said about this competition in global chats I don't see many taking this up when they realise what is on offer.

As I said earlier its a good idea very poorly implemented, and not fully thought through.

Suggestion: A two-part trade system. Trade Grail Fragments for Grails. The fragments are up for grabs and partially protected by daily limits. The Grails are fully protected and used to trade for the improved prize chests.

This affords the actual opportunity for small players save for a good prize.

Have y'all not realized that kabam only caters to the gemmers. They could care less about the gaming experience of the average player. That didn't start with this comp. It's been that way for years. Look at the threads from every comp kabam does. Crappy prizes for all except a few at the top. Every decision that kabam makes is about how much money it will generate. My wheel hasn't worked for two months and there is no fix in the works. But they keep adding content and introducing more bugs. I bet if everyone woke up tomorrow morning and were not able to buy gems kabams team of crack programmers would be on it non stop till the problem was fixed. It's hilarious how the tread posts after kabam releases a new game are identical from comp to comp. hilarious but sad.
