The Winter War has come to an end, but the real battle has just begun… As a fresh blanket of snow covers the once bloodstained battlefield, our Arctic Queen sits imprisoned in a shard of ice, a curse that was brought upon her by the gray mages. This ice is of the purist form and cannot be pierced by any blade nor melted with any fire, only the very Essence of Winter can weaken it. Merlin needs your help with collecting enough Essences of Winter to weaken the curse long enough to break out our Queen!
Small amounts of the Essence of Winter can be found around fortifications during wintertide, so unsheathe your swords and prepare for a massive Troop Kill! Attack your foes throughout the week because the more troops and might you kill, the more Essences of Winter you’ll be rewarded with!
For those who prefer a little less bloodshed, you can take to the mountains to hunt down the elusive Yetis who have only come out from their hibernation during the wintertide in order to feast upon any travelers who dare to pass through their mountains. These creatures are stronger than any dire bear and more fearsome than even a dragon, so come prepared, for they must be killed before they regenerate in 7 days’ time! The Yetis draw onto the power within the Essence of Winter to regenerate, so once this beast is slain, the Essence of Winter can then be harvested.
Can you help save our Queen before her crystallized prison becomes her icy tomb? Collect 250 Essences of Winter and bring them to the Round Tower within 5 days of the Spring Equinox, or on the 25th day of March our Queen will be forever lost.

Rules:
1. The Essence of Winter will run from 1/16 18:00 UTC to 3/20 18:00 UTC *Times are subject to change
2. Collect 250 Essences of Winter to exchange at the Round Tower for the Arctic Queen Avatar.
3. The Round Tower event will end on 3/25 at 18:00 UTC, to allow players time to claim their prize.
4. Any excess Essences of Winter will expire from players' inventories after the Round Tower event ends.
5. Only available to NA world 133.
