Why are people still spending so much money in dead servers? In my server there are 2 alliances competing for leaderboard... No wars. No new players. Just the same 10-20 people in GC posting coords. People are still playing merlins .... Even tho Arthur's are the most common prize, and the ones playing have full cities of 230s or better. Any new players are only alts of the deep pockets. New players aren't even interested in trying to grow an army because it will never be relevant. Even a start up using ALOT of gems would leave U far short of any real competitive level/might. I stoped spending money a while ago...its pointless and frankly just a waste. I appreciate Kabams here for the money... And I do think they need in app purchases but its so far out of hand now that they truly have ruined their game. We all used to gem some nice items to help us grow our cities or to get a deed... Maybe some hourglasses.... And we all had fun. Wars.... Knight leveling on Your neighbors.... Opening to protect your RSS... Hunting coords to prepare for multihits... Was great.. Its all gone now. There aren't even any real friendly people around anymore.... As they have all left. Well.. I'm sure this post, much like all the other, will fall on deaf ears. And no.... I'm not poor, not broke, just miss the game I fell in love with and had so much fun playing early on..
Now everyone has their opinions on how to fix it.... My thought is U need to just have a pay app. I would pay 2.99 a month to play a game that's balanced and enjoyable. U should still have in app purchasing but not troop boxes and such just helpers.. Tournaments are for the birds... They are a big reason the game has gone sour.... Too many prizes unobtainable by those who don't rank in top 10.... Leave em for the free app.... Let's get this train back on the rails and make this an awesome game once again.

I will agree. Kabam, not gemmers, has completely ruined the game. They have completely removed the ability for anyone but the hardcore gemmer to have any fun. This app is supposed to be fun. But you are right, all you see is the SAME 20-40 hardcore gemmers playing in servers. It's NOT FUN ANYMORE.

And yeah - Kabam needs to make money. That's a fact. But I just don't agree with their business model (Kabam CEO has said this in interviews) of chasing only the deep pocket players willing to spend $100's a week on the game. It doesn't make sense. This is an app played on a cell phone, not a console game. People want to log in quickly, train some troops, search for some opens and fight someone. Maybe chat a little, all while either in the car, on a break at work, on the throne (LOL!), or just some free time. This game USED to appeal to all types of players regardless of income, and that's when the game was fun, when servers were full, and there was a ton of fighting.

Now all you see are dead servers, with deep pocket players gemming up troops with troop chests, and that's it. So many good players have quit and all I see on this forum is people complaining about the game and wishing it was like "the early days" of KOC.

And people are begging for mergers, and all that's gonna do is put 80-100 deep pocket players on the server. LOL!

And like you, I'm not broke, I'm not bitter, I'm just depressed about dead servers and seeing a game slowly die that I really used to enjoy.

Same here, it's a damn shame what it has come to. Two alliances I've lead, and almost 95% of the folks we "lost" were due to members getting fed up with kabam and going inactive. It's a shame, because in the past you could recruit new folks; there were plenty of new folks to recruit! Not anymore. You cant recruit anything on a dead server, and alliance mergers only take you so far. I dont even bother dismissing inactives anymore because there's no one to replace them anyway. You hope they come back, but I'm guessing a majority are just plain done.

Kabam has murdered this game in exchange for a small niche group of paying gamers. We do appreciate the free gifts given out during player appreciation events, but all we really want is a return to something balanced again, bring in fresh faces. Listen to all the posts and ideas folks are listing. Chit man just listen to your constituents in general. Leadership cant build alliances out of thin air. We need a player base to pool from!
