  • Feedback on Imperial Guardians

    Hey Guys,

    I am gathering feedback on our newest troop, the Imperial Guardians and I wanted to ask here in the events section for your specific feedback. We want to know what you like about them, what you don't like about them and how you choose to use them in your armies. We'd also like to hear your opinions on what events these troops do well in. Your honest feedback is appreciated. Please leave your feedback in the following thread so that we can keep all of the information in one place.

    As always you can choose to post anonymously however I will be reading through the feedback in the next few days and granting Copper EXP Charms to five random players who post in the appropriate thread. To win the prize you must leave your Game ID and Server Number!

    Please leave your feedback in the introduction thread here:

    I think they're not a good addition to the game. It strongly discourages attacking other players. More specifically the following impacts the game in a negative way:
    - The amount of might you kill when fighting Guardians is negligible;
    - They're too easy to obtain. Gemmers have hundreds of thousands of them already and this while they're only released a few weeks ago;
    - People can open up and close when their Guardians are killed, thereby taking millions of others but giving nothing in return.

      Matt, they are great for kill comp if you are defending, but they are a deterrent to attacks, if people have them in large amounts they are much less likely to be hit. I think they could do with having a bit more life value, ie if I kill 10000 guardians I expect more kills, it is a dangerously low value for the attacker!

      Also, FYI bronze exp honestly aren't worth squat! We all must have nous ands of chests which we can use for exp... What would be beneficial for us is if you can exchange chests for exp items, ie 50 gear chests for a copper exp charm, straight swap in round tower... We could benefit from dust more than exp...

      Thanks for asking for feedback, we need more of this. A valued member in my alliance just left because of current mess ups from kabam, real shame.

        I like them a lot. Folks are finally starting to stay open again because of them. It's true that you have to sacrifice a lot of might to kill the guardians before getting to the meat, but from my perspective, that's still a lot better than searching for hours just to find anyone open. If their defensive strength were reduced, or they became more rare, then folks would start to stay closed again.

        For those who find them unduly daunting, you can always negotiate a battle with the guards removed to another city. We've had a lot of that in 66.

          Yes I have to agree with you... For most they do achieve this goal, problem you find though is that the people with most guardians also have a billion might reinforcing those guardians, which in most cases takes too much might to kill them... They definately encourage people to open, but the game has moved to a state that 100 mil might is the new 1 mil might, and it is hard to keep up without more might.

          I for one am always left close to zero, because I do open, but when looking for targets most who do open are much larger, meaning I would not be able to make even a dent in them without help, and if they have to many guardians it would at times be impossible for me to even get to their t1!

            They are tremendous when defending, but quite poor on attack I found. I've seen various results on our alliance wall with them defending. But they are encouraging players to finally leave themselves open again after furies are being phased out which can only be a good thing for the game.

                It was only when they first came out, We tested 500 etc, but in defence they are absolute beasts.

                  Well, maybe there will be some players that open up because of them.. But considering you have to spend to get them, usually only the big guys have them. This means that the players who should be open anyway will open up.. It's the non- or moderate gemmers that stay closed and frankly I think these guardians aren't going to change that because of this reason. Attacking is just not rewarding at all anymore and I consider it just stupid to fight the guardians.

                    It's really not stupid, It depends who you want to zero and for what reason, If we find someone open with guardians we will act as a group and take turns to hit them.

                      And if I don't want to zero anyone and if I don't have hundreds of millions of might? Just casual attacking is impossible to someone who has a few of these guys... The fact that you like them tells me you're more of the defending type of guy. I respect that, but I would think every attacking player can't like these Guardians..

                        The imperial guardians are excellent for defense, especially for resource hoarders. Attacking someone with 50k imperials is suicide. They were a good addition to the game, but can/will deter attacks.

                        Side note, I'm with the_governor, please increase dust drop rate. No one uses yeomans or squires gear and with the release of experience charms, they are clogging our inventory.

                            Imperial guards are good and if u know how to take them out properly people wouldn't be so afraid of attempting them. Im hoping that since releasing t4 gear which will make imperials stronger u make a t4 version of golden mm gear that affects all t1s and similar ratios of golden mm gear to lionheart gear when compared to gear of the gods... maybe u can introduce an offensive troop type that kills imperials better but ineffective against other troop types.

                              Ok I know i just posted but u had an idea of how to implement the idea I just said. Introduce a troop type called saboteur. 10 might each should be a fair trade off.There attack rating should be kills 1 troop. And make them trainable. From outset. Use them against imperials. It could change whole dynamic of game.
