Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing ? The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you?re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don?t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like ?you people.?
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not ?flame?, ?troll.? or ?haze?.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don?t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don?t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create ?sock puppet? accounts ? multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator?s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

  • 18.0 gear glitch

    When sending attacks the additional troop attribute on gear does not work. I can only send a maximum of 122k troops on a March even though my gear should allow 131k troops to be sent. This is an obvious disadvantage to me in the current contest. Are you aware of this bug?

    I have my iPad set to automatically instal updates so v 18 installed before I even saw your warning not to install it. I un installed and reinstalled and it seams to be working ok except for this error.

          Most companies update their games every 2 weeks.

            Kabam, could you please explain when we can expect this update? It's a bit of a handicap to have this expensive armor with troop attributes that are not activated. How can this happen? What should we do in the mean time? Buy crystals to upgrade our rally point? Is there a workaround for this?

            You have mentioned strategy before and it's been a long standing strategy to use these boosts and to force us to update to this version without the ability to downgrade as you have this grail wars stuff going on that requires the update, but how can we actually play strategically against players that have much greater might without the extra boost of troops we have been used to?

            I think that we should know when to expect this to be fixed. To say that it's going to be in the next update is not enough information. Is the team actively working on this issue or have they set it aside for other things? This is rather important to know as players with sainted knights are taking advantage of everyone that does not because we can't compete with them (not that it was easy before this issue), but now you have divided the world into those that have sainted knights and those that do not entirely, which is very frustrating if you do not have a level 255 or *5 knight and are able to wear the gear that you have sold us and hit someone who is and don't have the 25k extra troops that would have saved you from loosing 5 million might.

            This is very upsetting news, I must say. I don't know how you expect to retain your player base with this lackadaisical attitude toward such a major issue. This is incredible that all that you can say is that it will be fixed in the next update. So, are we supposed to stop playing / battling until you get around to fixing this? Just lock up the cities and let the level 255's and *5's take everything that they can.

              Just so I get this right... you release updates roughly once every two months and expect half the population to fairly compete in tk tourneys with such a handicap???

              You are fixing to launch a world alliance versus alliance war with half the world bugged???

              Until this is fixed, my wallet will be bugged. I'll fix it when I decide to release my next patch.

                Any reply forthcoming on top of this glich ye add the boss comp now my knights are stuck in limbo land I can't port can't camp can't do squat well done kabam why not add something else on top

                  Any real game manufacturer lists any bugs or glitches that have been fixed with an update. All we are told is they have been fixed which we all know none have been fixed. Still whating for the unmarshall glitch, chat glitch and all the other ones to be fixed.

                    There is a thread that list the known bugs and their status, it's under Bugs and know issues. It's labeled READ FIRST: bugs and known issues, it's about the third one down.
                    Although plenty not listed.

                      Sorry for the change of subjects subject .. My entire team and I are not receiving any benefit from purchasing any gem package that are supposed to give personal / alliance merits ?? We do not stand a chance in the event now ..

                        There are a bunch of glitches from this new update. some are:
                        So far I've seen the following glitches from this new update:
                        1. Gem purchases cause errors after every restart, "purchase verify error"
                        subsequent purchases can't be made due to this.
                        2. Gear that boosts troops is not being applied to marches.
                        3. Purchases are not applied to the kabam point system.
                        4. Purchases are not being applied to the grail wars merit system.

                        What's the marshalled knight issue mentioned above, haven't seen that?

                        It seems that the issues with gem purchases will divert all their resources to fixing, so I don't expect the other issues to be resolved anytime soon.

                        It's pathetic that we can't get a list of current known bugs particularly because they have made a thread just for that, seems that they just want to keep it to themselves and let us waste our time reporting them over and over. Reporting these errors to kabam is good, but a waste of time if you are expecting any resolution, they always waste the first few days having you jump through hoops, assuming that all support tickets submitted are user errors by default.

                          Good post just want to point something out to you I'm sure you ment to say weeks not days. I'm so fed up with Kabam ostrich attatude if it was a free game I prob could see their point but this is the most expensive game in the universe to play its not free .so where is our money going.obviously not on tecks wages

                            Your right, weeks. That is, if a ticket goes that long before it's just closed without any resolution. Seems that the most important tickets I submit get the lifespan of a week at most, but those that have had the least impact on my game seems to linger for weeks. It's crazy.

                            I'd suggest that the support personel first and foremost read the tickets submitted, secondly, look at the user who is reporting the issue, if they have been playing for a year, most likely that is a good indication of the validity of an issue reported and the information within the ticket. Then finally, look at how much that person has spent on the game before you totally blow them off because those are the ones that cause me to stop spending for quite a while.

                            Finally, read the ticket, reply with not just pasted text, if the user has already stated that they have reset the game and re-installed it several times (not to mention the automated reply that says to do that anyway then report if there is still a problem so that they will actually address your initial ticket), don't reply with a pasted response that tells them to reset and/or re-install the game, not many people will see that as a genuine response if they reported that they had done that already. The standard to delay all tickets a week in the hopes that the user will give up doesn't work for me and many others, it just increases the level of frustration between support and the user. I don't think that one ticket that I have submitted has received a reply related to the issue until I have had to ask them to please re-read the ticket as their reply has nothing to do with the issue submitted.

                            I'm dealing with that now with the gems glitch, my card was charged for the gems I bought, but I never got them and when I restart the game I now get a pup-up message that says "payment verification error" (every time) and if I try to buy a few gems again, it says that I have "...already purchased the gems and that they will now restore my purchase...", which ends up freezing my game with the KOC icon spinning (overnight last I tried it). The first reply was to restart the game and let them know if that worked, lol. I said in my initial ticket I had done that a dozen times and re-installed as many, but they replied to re-install the game next anyway after explaining that again to them.... It's a delay tactic that only has me locked out of buying gems, a charge for gems I never got and no way to even purchase them. It's not like I need these gems, but I paid for them for Pete's sake, they should be all over that and trying to fix the issue that's preventing me (and surely many others as 4 of the 4 people I asked have the same payment verification error at start-up) from buying more. You would think that would bring the corporation to a slow hum until it's fixed, but they seem to care less about it and just use their time tested play stupid, delay and assume user error tactics in replies expecting me to forget that they took my money and never gave me what I paid for, lol.

                            Anyone ever ask support a question? Lol, it's funny how they employ the above tactics to that. If you are able to get them to directly answer any question you should get a gold medal (real gold that is) cause I don't think that they are allowed to, regardless of what it is. Game support that can't answer a question, what a joke.

                              Other glitches introduced with the new update I have noticed on my device are:
                              Scouting is not working, they are not reporting back....
                              and there is a glitch that deletes the box that we typically use to edit the number of resources or troops that we send to other cities. The box at the top of the keyboard. Now, restarting the game will remove that box and you have to type blindly what resources you want to send if its something under the keyboard. Restarting or changing worlds brings it backs after a few tries usually, but why is this a new issue? what does all this have to do with grail wars?

                              It's amazing how introducing a new feature can cause so many new glitches, most developers test their software before releasing, which I'm sure Kabam will say they did, but if many of these glitches were clear minutes after the update (and the plethora of new ones that are being discovered everyday), they probably should have restarted and re-installed the game a few times as well as playing it instead of just clicking windows to see if it looked right. That's what you tell us to do whenever we send a support ticket isn't it? If it's so important maybe you should follow your own advice b4 releasing an update that breaks core game mechanics and prevents IOS users from updating to the latest version.

                              The payment verification error pop-up every-time you restart is getting annoying as well. Also, not being able to use anything but iTunes store credit for gem purchases now is a bit annoying (not to mention the payment errors that follow purchases and the delay delivering the gems is a bit suspicious) Seems like there's a problem with their payment validation system and it's causing all kinds of problems. Waste of time to have to run to the store and buy gift cards just to make a purchase in the game I think. I'm not spending another dime on the game until I am confidant that they have fixed these payment and delivery issues, it's too unstable and has already cost me one charge for gems that I never received, which will surely take weeks to get back if ever.
