MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing ? The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you?re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don?t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like ?you people.?
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not ?flame?, ?troll.? or ?haze?.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don?t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don?t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create ?sock puppet? accounts ? multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator?s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

    I launched an attack today (Pendragon16) against a low level neighbor this evening. My attack comprised of a level 174 knight leading 82,621 rams and 1,905 wagons. I was stunned to see the report that followed. I lost ALL of my troops while he lost EXACTLY 2000 swordsmen and 2000 cavalry. I am level 10 on all of my research (poison and potions). The guy I attacked had a level 2 knight hall which means if he even had a marshal, it was garbage. I believe his total might was around 715,000. I lost over 2 million might in my attack. Kabam, what is going on!!!?!??!! How can errors like this possibly exist.

    Anyways, my battle report # is 8158681. My scout that I launched right before the attack is report #8158543. I also submited a support ticket on this. 82,000 rams takes quite a while to build and also requires a LOT of resources. I am very unhappy with this result and expect Kabam to not only fix this problem, but make up for this massive loss. Based on my current production times, it would take me 230 hours to rebuild those losses and more resources than I possibly have, not to mention if I continue to take losses like this against other members in the process. I look forward to your response.

    Kabam, I want answers. Don't tell me some generic garbage. I want specific answers about what you are going to do to remedy my situation. Giving me 82,000 rams and fixing this glitch will suffice. I will keep checking back each day and posting on here until I get a response.

      My response from Kabam. Sorry, still unacceptable. Submitting another ticket.

      "We have received a number of questions about our combat system. We realize some battle results might not seem correct at first glance, or based on previous results of similar battles. The Engineering Team has double checked current battles for many players who question them. They state the battle mechanics are working as they should.

      The varying capabilities and talents of each type of Troop is often undervalued or not adequately considered. Those differences matter in attack strategy.

      Also, because we do not want our Battles to be predictable solely on numbers and capabilities of Troops, there will always be other slight variables. This means that you will see some variation from battle to battle, even if you use the same number of troops each time. We do that so the results will be more real and less robotic in nature.

      In general, we realize that combat can seem confusing at times. Like the other aspects of the game, we are always working on enhancements to our system. Implementing changes that will make combat more fun and make assaulting Fortresses a more balanced affair is and has been one of our main goals. So if you have any feedback, please let us know! However, please remember that whenever we release any kind of changes, they always have a tremendous impact on the game as a whole, which means we must be incredibly cautious as we develop and finalize any modifications we make.

        That was me. ^^ For some reason, it showed me logged in but only on the main site and not in the forums. So I have to log out on the main site and login again at the forums. Awesome.

            It seems that ridiculous attacking rams gets combat bugs when attacking making them loose all units in the way, so my advice is not attacking with rams, since we won't get a solution...

            Won't we Kabam ?

              So I recieved a response again from Kabam. Enjoy folks. This is what you have to look forward to. I think my favorite part in this is how "ballistae are VERY effective against slow moving battering rams." Well Kabam, maybe put the battery rams speed below ballistae and stop contradicting yourself. IDC how effective ballistae are, in no battle are you going to lose exact amounts of troop types and nothing more. EXACTLY 4,000 troops lost with no marshal. You guys are smoking way to much crack from all the money players are spending on gems. How about you put a little of that money to customer support and programming. Maybe then you wont constantly embarrass yourself around the world when you release updates or even try to send e-mails to players. Your response is a joke, your customer support is a joke, and the players are sick of being at the end of that joke.

              Thank you for taking the time to write in GOB_Father. I have reviewed the results of battle 8158681 and I assure you that the results are correct and the battle system is working as intended. While they are still Tier 2 units, ballistae are VERY effective against slow moving battering rams. I have seen battle reports of 15k ballistae taking out 90k battering rams MANY times. In your case you had a small number of ballistae guarded by some T3 units and others which still resulted in a victory. Massing one type of unit may work sometimes, but is not always the answer, the best way to go about it is to send a balanced army after scouting. Never assume that you can power through a battle with sheer numbers of higher tier units, as this is not always the case.

                Same thing happened to me. 50k rams died on some wall and ballistae. Level 10 research and a 212 knight. I cussed out customer support and they gave me some hourglasses... BS. They said "the wall took life points and the ballistae finished them off. Battering rams are one of the slowest units and are very weak against ballistae." battering rams are one of the fastest units besides supply carts so u guys are idiots. And the wall was like 3k units and walls blow. He had 7.5k T1 wall, T1 troops, and T2 troops. Added up to 7.5k units total that died. I lost 50k rams and my wagons. ****in pathetic. Kabam sucks. I don't care how realistic you "tried" to make it, that's not realistic you idiots!

                  So I guess our guy's problem (the defender in this shot) is that he didn't have any of those speedy bali's to thwart the lumbering rams. Guess the 50k archers were overmatched and even slower. The defender in this case had a knight north of 180, and bark activated, plus troops unhid. Still lost hugely disporportionate amounts to the attacker. We are convinced whatever mods were made to the battle engine to introduce the new wall defense troops has resulted in some completely whacked results that simply cannot be explained away "as intended".

                      Wow, must say I've never seen a report like that. If Kabam are claiming it's because rams are slow then why do they move across the map at the same speed as other troops? What really gets me is that your 80k t3 only killed 4000 t2, no idea what happened there.

                        RAM must have got stuck at the door while one is trying to bust it down, whilst the ballistic wall and troops shoot all the rest?? Cant have it overcrowded at the castle gates or you go boom... hahah
