Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing ? The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you?re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don?t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like ?you people.?
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not ?flame?, ?troll.? or ?haze?.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don?t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don?t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create ?sock puppet? accounts ? multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator?s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

  • Knight not gaining (and even losing) EXP

    Is this bug going to be fixed soon? I was farming and noticed that my knight wasn't gaining any EXP, so I rebooted the game and found that my knight lost EXP...

    I asked one of my members if he ever had this problem and he replied that it's happening to him as well.

    After looking around the forums, I noticed that we aren't the only ones to experience this issue and has apparently been around for a while; so, when is this issue going to be addressed?

    I have to say, I was SO close of buying the 100 gem-worth knight EXP item today, but am SO glad I didn't because man I would've been pissed - don't you think this is something that may be important to fix for those who do buy knight EXP items?

      Thanks for reporting this issue,
      Our Development Team is aware of this bug and working on the fix.
      Best troubleshooting at the moment is to refresh the App. To refresh the App, simply press the 'Home' button on your Apple device to exit the App, then double-press it again to bring up the list of Apps you have open. Hold the Battle for the North app until it starts to jiggle and then tap the little 'minus' icon that appears. Then tap on Battle for the North to complete the process!

        The above reply is basically bull****!! I uses 3train with Kay but the indicator never even move, email the bloody Dev 8times not a single reply for weeks!!!

          We all know refreshing wont help. lol KAMAB dont embarrace yourselves, As long as this dont work, u sell more GEMS

            I was about to say that copy pasting a response from the troubleshooting section will just add frustration to people... but I guess I didn't have to after others have already replied

            I already stated that I rebooted the game (many times actually) with the result being the same: my, and others, knights lose or stay at the same EXP (depending on if I hit with him or not)...

            EDIT: oops I guess I wasn't signed in, but this is "Wuffleman"

              I understand your frustration but from the forums there is not much more I can do than providing general troubleshooting or give information about known issues,
              players support can offer individual assistance,

                I send up my problem to them 8times for past 2weeks! Using the similar link u provided! Not a single soul replied!! I loose 4train with Kay with no even a drop of exp gain! For past 4days no exp gain for knights regardless how many times u attack!!! They ****ing just don't reply!!

                  Riccardo, I understand that this IS a free game for the most part (making bug fixes a bit more troubling) and that there are many bugs to fix (resulting in some fixes being postponed - like this one?), but I think specifying a timeline like "We are fixing _____ first, and then we will work on fixing this problem, which could take another _____" would lead to better responses. If you don't have that information, is there a way you can get it? I think it would be great if players knew which bugs were being fixed first, second, etc. to have an idea on how much more time to wait for their own problems to be fixed, the bugs that are being fixed (from the replies of this and other threads, I think some have the idea that you guys aren't fixing anything), etc.

                    this bug has reappeared, it was fixed, I forwarded to the engineers, stay tuned form more info as I'll share them when I'll have them

                      Hmmm....
                      Came on here to find a link to complain about knight not gaining xp & found this thread. Fair enough the game on the whole is free, but because I am really enjoying the game I finally cracked & spent £70 on 1600 gems (which I'm still feeling queasy about) I bought the 1000 xp 'train with' and it only added 360 to my knight. Am now wondering how many times this has happened as I've bought a few shields in the past

                      Just as a side note, I used to play Travian & the max package you could buy was about £17. I used to buy one every two weeks because it wasn't a stupid amount. The gems to money ratio on this game is extortionate! I know I'm a hypocrite as I've just bought gems, but by now I would have probably spent more than 3x that much over the last 4 months if they weren't so stupidly expensive for what they get you in return.

                          I believe this will solve most people's problems, which I'm surprised isn't mentioned in either the emails from the support center or by support on this forum, but anyways I'm just happy I can finally start leveling my knight again...

                          The fix? Level up your knight's hall (cap is about lvl 20 or 21 per knight hall level) - when you reach the cap, the EXP also goes funky (resetting to zero, losing 20, etc) - THIS SHOULD SERIOUSLY BE SPECIFIED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE LEVELING OF KNIGHT's HALL because right now all it says is that you can have more knights if you upgrade the knight's hall...

                          Anyways, I am now a happy camper

                            I sent two messages recently to Kabam about this problem. It's already 2013, and it looks like this problem has been ongoing since last year.

                            My case numbers are 01064238 and 01065028.

                            (I've only been playing this game for less than six months.)
