Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing ? The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you?re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don?t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like ?you people.?
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not ?flame?, ?troll.? or ?haze?.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don?t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don?t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create ?sock puppet? accounts ? multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator?s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

knight unassigned and lost troops

    I had an incoming of 104k militiamen. I assigned my knight and opened my gates. I closed and waited 15min for the impact and when the troops hit I checked report and I was almost zerod(I had 40k heav cav on march) and it said my knight was unassigned. I had gold but it was taken in the attack. Well the person sent another wave and I called for reinforcements and with 104k militiamen 5 heros lvl 15,16,30,30,31 they killed our troops again and had 80k militiamen left. They had no heroes but with the knight my alli sent he had over 300% hp. My ticket was closed because the tech support said "there is no bug causing knights to unassign" I have screenshots to prove my knight was assigned and that we shouldnt have lost so many troops. I am also not the only one who has had this happen as I look here on the forums. My ticket was closed with a generic response about not having gold. I had gold.

    Hello,

    I would continue to send tickets to support, with the info that you had gold.

    There is a bug with knights causing to un assign, and to cause cities to open, and it is unacceptable for them to say that.

    If support does not help, which sometimes they are useless, then send a PM to a GM from kabam, HOWEVER they do not look on here at the weekend so you will have to wait till Monday for a reply.

        This has been going on for a long time now. Kabam does not seem interested in fixing it. I know of players on pel 52 that have lost over a billion might and Kabam did nothing to help them or return it.

          On 103 ive had allies get troop cards for their lost might. However this rather frustrates me when they say there is no issue but im not the only one to report it

            You are absolutely right, they can't say that it wasn't a glitch, which is why kabam if they don't already do should record it when a city is opened and knights assigned / unassigned so that support has evidence so they can verify and give troops back.

              I noticed something about knights. If you have 5 mill gold in your city and your knight is still assigned, if you add gold the knight seems to work off the 5 mill gold only. when you add gold to your city make sure you un-assign and assign your knight so it registers the full balance . I do not know if this is 100% accurate, but it is something that may be a trigger for knights leaving even when there is gold in the city. I will do some more tests with it but, it may be that in lots of the cases. For your issue since he took your gold in your first attack your knight would of left for when the rein arrived and, they would of only had the knight power your alli mate sent with his troops. for the first wave of why your knight was un assigned. did you add gold after your knight was assigned? I been trying to identify what the root cause could be so I can help the game team fix it.

                Heres what happened. I attacked a guys alli and stole gold. The gold hit my city and I had an incoming an hour away. I assigned my knight and he speed hit im 15min intervals. I called for rein. His troops hit and his 104000 mm slaughtered 150k of each t1. Then my rein hit my city and slaughtered his next wave. I had 2 heros each lvl 15 and a 215 knight equipped. My rein sent 104000 mm a lvl 220+ knight and 3 lvl 30 heros. So.... pretty much 104000mm slaightered 600000 t1 troops with 5 heros in my city. If he beat me fine. But i woulda slaughtered his first wave if my knight didnt get unassigned.

                  When using a reined knight always send 1wagon with it. Wagons die last so the knight will stay for the duration of the battle.

                  knights unassigning is now a common thing in KOC, I have seen some players lose billions of might and the response from Kabam is either you must have been open or compensate with Speed ups.

                  Thank you Canadiank for your idea on what the issue could be, I will ask some of my players to try this also.
                  One thing that a member of mine has also noticed is that your city opens itself when you close KOC on that city. He has since started switching to his Food city before logging off.

                  Since then he has lost alot of wagons but not troops from troop city.

                        Thank you kanoona. Should I seriously just pm u ss and info everytime I have an issue? I mean support close every ticket I send without 1 reading it or 2 reading it and not looking at the included ss.

                          as kanooa is only 1 person it may be stretching it to have every issue solved on the forms, as it is not a support channel. so it is always best to take a issue up with support first, so it is documented.

                            I agree but the "support" team have not solved a single issue I have had. They close my ticket and tell me the issue i am having is not possible.

                              I had this problem too. Sent in a ticket and wonder of wonders got a reply within the specified time the automatic response stated. Was asked for report numbers which where given and was compensated 10 percent of the might I lost and given 250m in resources. In my experience, that's a pretty good response from Kabam. Thank you very much Kabam. Especially to you John. However the issue needs to be solved and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that this unmarshalling problem should be eradicated as soon as possible. Compensating people is great but not having to deal with this problem again will be even better.
