  • Android Issues upon upgrading to the latest version

Kabam, since the update to the new KOC: Battle for the North for Android version 12.3 there have been a lot of bugs and issues playing the game which is making it very impossible to be strategic and do what we do best and quickly.

Number 1: The text field in all of the game is now very glitchy. When you try to backspace large numbers, the numbers re-appear and you have to keep backspacing. You have to hit backspace atleast 25 times to delete a 10 digit number. Part B: When you are trying to type in numbers, the numbers you already typed dissapear, for example. I will be typing in the coordiantes 173,256...but it will come out as 13,26. This also screws with sending resources, I will want to send 4 million and I actually only send 400k. It is very fustrating.

Number 2: Why do my marches keep dissapearing? I will send 2,500,000 food from my resource city to my attack city, when the transport is supposed to be complete, the entire march just dissapears like I never sent it at all...and then after about a minute the march shows that it is returning but it is too late, my troops ate all my food already. There have been cases where as the resouces and troops you sent to take them have just fell off the face of the world and never returned. This is a problem as well.

These are just a couple issues I have noticed that really irk me and I'm sure other players because they are affecting our game play. I understand there were previous errors with version 12 so we went to 12.2 and now we are on 12.3. I do not have any screenshots or video's...but if they are necessary for you guys to farther review I have no problem preparing some.

I would please like an answer on how this will be fixed or if this has been noticed and is already being looked into.

Im glad Im not the only one with these problems. Especially the glitchy messaging. Mainly when mailing someone, entering numbers, backspacing is horrible like you said, and bookmarking coords. I thought my phone was messed up at first. Talking in gc,ac, & aw is fine/no problems at all. I have all the same complaints as Novella.

Exactly the same problem on Android in the Message Box (for a mail), Coord

i tried to type my text on a text editor => copy it to paste it in KoC => The paste menu (with all the other tools) appear and disappear instantly !

Something on the text box ? false cursor ? repeat timer problem ?

Please Update a 12.4.0 version with a fix

Agreed. Another issue I have found is that in any messaging or bookmarking, ALL of the i's are getting capitalized. I've already turned off all the auto-correct and auto-caps in order to make sure it wasn't just my phone. This is irritating beyond belief as I decided to fix up my bookmark list tonight and now one of my players is "PrIsIllIa" instead of "Prisillia." The keyboard feels glitchy as all hell now when typing anything, and as previous posters said, things just aren't typing like they should. What's hilarious about all this is that I just got this phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) about a week ago and I had an iPhone before. The iPhone updated to this current patch long before Android systems and it was the only thing that made me want to play again as it fixed the MASSIVE LAG on iOS. Then I got my new phoneand it was working fantastically until this patch. The gameplay has been reduced to less than what I had before with my iPhone and it makes me want to stop playing. Seriously...Kabam, please respond to this issue. Don't alienate half of your playerbase.

I have played on multiple devices and have found the galaxy s3 to be the worst with chat lag in world 23.

The only fix I can find is to keep swapping from global to alliance chat until global starts to move. Then I have to wait for global to completely catch up then I can go back to alliance chat and it USUALLY catches up as well.

Some times helping with builds catches up alliance chat and sometimes pressing on a players name will get it to start moving as well but not as effectively as swapping chats until it starts.

The Iphone 4 stops occasionally also and swapping chats gets it to start moving quicker usually only swapping like 5 times will do it. on S3 it takes about 20 times.

The biggest pain is that you don't know that it has froze until you go to main city screen and see your alliance carrying on a conversation and you go into alliance chat and it hasn't moved for 15 minutes.

I have had many new players message me saying that they cannot see chat in alliance chat so they do not interact with the alliance at all. Most have quit playing since the game is boring without being able to participate in AC or GC.

That is not the issue here though. I do not have a problem with ac or gc. The last update screwed with the text boxes for all android devices where it would delete what you typed as you were typing or you could not delete at all

It's not important what device and which world.
                            It happens to everyone.

The world, you're right, shouldn't matter. However, some apps can have incompatibility issues with specific devices.

That being said, I'm having the same problem as everyone else where mail messaging/entering coords/saving bookmarks (pretty much everything except chat) has a wonky cursor and is extremely difficult to type in. I'm in Gareth66 using a Galaxy S3.

Also chat (both AC and GC) freeze up constantly. Is there a fix in the works for that too??
