I've defended against a 114 knight led attacker while my 212 knight was assigned as Marshall. My barkskin was activated and the attacker has no item buffs. From my calculation, the ratios should be AT LEAST 2:1. However, the result shows I lost 400k might comparing to the attacker's 700k might drop. The might ratio drop for the attacker was less than I expected. Anyone here knows the reason why? Is my calculations wrong or do some knights provide more bonuses than others?

walls involved?
were poison edge and healing the same on both sides?
No walls. The attacking troops were 3k tier 3s rams and the rest were tier 2s(total90k) my defending army was composed of 3k rams also but the rest were tier 1s.(also 90k. Yep, I was zeroed in the attack lol) Since tier 1s have 1/4 the might value of those tier 2s but with half the strength(attack and defense) of tier 2 , I expected the ratio to be 2:1 in the least. A 3:1 is the actual ratio I expect. Thanks for responding so quickly to my post. You are awesome bob

You did not mention whether or not you had equal levels of research. IF that is the case, than the attackers troop strength was 375720 while yours was 258390. He got a lifesaving bonus as a result of overmatching you which could account for the lower might loss than you were calculating.
If your troops had of killed an equal amount of troop strength youd have taken out 63958 T2 for a might killed of just over a million. That is not beyond the realms of expectations. Heck, even if he was at half levels of research you'd only matchup with 71k of his T3.
Troop types (artillery, foot, and horse) and quantity of each also can play a factor.

The bonus is determined by how much advantage you have over your opponent which includes the troop types/number of the defender and attacker.

Using the numbers given earlier:
Your Opponents troop strength: 375720
Your Troop Strength: 258390
The absolute most you could have killed would have been just shy of 64,000 Tier 2. Since the attacker won by a fair margin he only lost in the neighborhood of 43,750 troops.
The lifesaving bonus roll was kind to him for sure, but it is not outside the realms of expectations.

The lifesaving bonus he refers to is often called winners advantage, better known as 'defenders advantage', as defenders usually recieve it more often. Since his force was so much larger than yours, his troops suffered fewer losses than it should have because of the amount it overpowered you, giving it a buff.
