  • Create a Public Calendar or in-game feature

It is so disappointing, example today where there was supposed to be a Summoning Storm yet was not.

Players have real life commitments and try to plan the best they can around things that happen in the games that they play but when plans in-game fall through because there really is no true commitment on the company's side, it is the player time that is left victimized by the corporate apathy.

Most games that I have played, be it Apps or PC MMOs, usually have an in-game calendar event system.

It can only help your game by adding such a system... Day blocks will never be blank because you can fill in each day with which arenas will be cycling in and out. Which sales you have planned day to day. And you can pencil in when Summoning Storms will become active.

Most importantly give definite times for when City Events are planned and even Castle Siege.

Give us a system that will allow us to look forward to something other than the tedious day to day grind.

Did Kabam ever actually confirm today there would be a summon storm? There still might be one, sometimes summon storms start in the middle of the day, but as far as I know, dates for summon storms or events are just speculation. I actually like summon storms and events being somewhat random; its a nice surprise to get on and find something to make the game more interesting. Maybe thats just me, but either way, I don't think Kabam ever gives exact dates for the exact reason you are talking about.

If you are upset that there was not a summon storm today when you thought there would be, adding exact dates would only make the problem worse, especially for City Events or Castle Siege. Creating events is no easy task, and if Kabam was to give exact dates for every event, what happens if they run into complications and are unable to release the event exactly on time? This will just cause you, and many other players, more frustration. It doesn't have to be Kabam flaking, yes they are a business, but that doesn't mean they are not human. Maybe the devs might just be running behind schedule, or have run into unexpected glitches. Should they release the event anyway and fix the problem after? I'm sure you have seen the heat the devs take for releasing bugged events/arenas.

It doesn't even have to be that they don't care either. If you look at the posts for the Haunted Chest arena three days ago, you will see that Sp4zrocker immedately began to wok on the problem of chests not being awarded. I know this is kind of a tangent, but I think the devs get more crap than they should. I definitely have given my fair share, usually about drop rates or arena matchmaking. Sp4z has said that he tries to improve arena matchmaking, I'm sure its difficult but it seems to be working. Also I remember when they did Scorched arena for the second time, Sp4z said he was only to allowed to put Valrakk as a might reward if he was in a chest, so I draw from that that the devs do not control drop rates. Maybe I'm wrong, but still the devs do get a harder time than the deserve.

This line is absolutely comical. I have yet to see a gaming company that goes off a calender run into massive issues. Should something ever come up a simple notice and delay would not hurt anyone.

This made me laugh very much. Going over the release note and actual release updates are close to 3-6 months apart. And those updates were very minor changes without any real fix to current problems with the game. So, being busy is highly unlikely.

Example, for almost 2 weeks now since they released a hot patch for graphical issues and the Tower, on every device I own, the game client erroneously forces a download of 31 files every time you close and open the client.

If they really cared for their product, do you think they would have let this issue go on for 2 weeks?

Of course they fix issues in the arena, should they pop up. The arena is a big part of the gem market... If there is any congestion in kabam's money engine they tune and oil it.

Devs do not control the forward progress of the game. They make their changes, they do their tweaks here and there, but it is the corporation that decides if they use the fixes.

As for as the 6*, of course they said only in a chest, because if you could win the card out right, it would take money out of Kabam's pocket.

Then why was it "so disappointing" that there was not a summon storm when there was "supposed to be"?

So they don't care for their product because they have yet to fix such a minor "issue" as that? That is barely even considered an issue, but even so I'm sure they have much bigger issues they have to deal with.

That was my exact point. The devs do not control everything, so if your statements were talking about them, you are wrong. If you were talking about Kabam as a company, then yes, you are exactly right. They do not care about how players feel, so long as they are still making money. The player will always be left "victimized" by corporate apathy. So I highly doubt Kabam will put forth any effort into integrating a calendar system unless they, as a company, see it of benefit to them. And seeing how few people actually have brought up, or agreed with the idea of a calendar, I doubt that will happen anytime soon.
