  • In app Purchases... why?

How can you expect anyone to spend money on this game with these drop rates? I've had terrible luck with gem pulls IE:I Am Vambreal, so I've stuck to chests, particularly make up chests as my odds of getting something decent were always better. But, even that was acceptable, at least I could wait for a good buy.

Then Merlin's make up chests came out. They may brag higher numbers, but we all know they are a nerfed version of the regular make up chest. I've bought hundreds (probably 300) since the Merlin's make up chest came out. Not one of them has had a 6* or over 100ss. I've only gotten the 50ss twice.

This is a terrible return. I could get days of enjoyment from a new console game for the price of 100 chests. Instead, we get about 15 minutes of anxiety and disappointment. How does Kabam expect people to keep spending money, when even the best buy in the game is a terrible return. I used to get more, regularly, on $50 in Makeup Chests, than I did last night on $100 in Merlin's chests.

The pay outs used to be acceptable, not for everyone, but at least for a good number of people to keep trying their luck. But, I think over the past several months they've diminished to the point that I can't see why anyone would spend their money in this game.

So, in conclusion... The people who spend are getting boned, and the hacking is only going to get worse. I don't see how Kabam can expect people to continue spending their money.

It's absolute trash. I wish I listened to everyone when they said don't spend money in this game. Now I just collect free pots and ss and wait for events and summon storms.

      Ahmen brother

This game is not geared to the working class. It's got its sights on young children with cc numbers, gambleing addicts, and obscenely rich people

Someone who pays bills and has to work 6 days a week is **** out of luck

I guess I kind of understand , that is the buisness model. But it's a joke how much it has changed in 6 months

An event chest used to guarentee a 5 or 6* card. 5$ on makeup chests guarenteed 30-50 ss. I even remember when events had 5 and 6 star cards available just for walking

But now it is sad, almost like we as a group all progressed further than they thought we should so thy just cut allllllll prizes

Most evident are the arenAs . What happened to the arena?

Used to be a 6* rank reward almost every day if not every other, arenas all had ss in them. We had 3-6 arenas daily. And the biggest kick in the nuts GEMS GOT REMOVED FROM ARENAS

Since the hobbit and hunger games came out this game had been put on auto pilot and the effects are profound

And since when is every event a copy and paste job? At least try to be original (like at least drop a diffrent 4* card maybe?!?)

All in all new things are comeing out without thuroughly testing and almost no support is given to the game anymore

It's unfortunate for everyone who plays. Seems like kabam has cut the budget on this game and just barely do enough to keep it alive now. Guess that is the best way to maximize profits

Yeah, drop rate in the game is ridiculous. We have like 0.0005% chance to have a good card. So when you have a bonus, it's 0.0005% x 2, etc.
Will never buy gems again in this game. It could be nice to summons or buy cards with gold, but I don't think they will do that.

Here is the thing... what Kabam does is mix in 1 good promo with like 10-20 bad ones, so the smarter players hold out and wait for that 1 really good one and the not so smart spend on all the others.

From my experience when a promo lists potential prizes instead of thinking you will get the best, assume you will get the worst and then think are you ok with that? It's why Makeup chests were good for so long, most people shot for 6* or SS, but if they got just potions as consolation prize it still wasn't too bad.

What I've noticed, is the better the top prize, the more likely you are to get **** from chests, etc. Take the Makeup Chest (MC) and Merlin's Makeup Chest (MMC) for example. MC has a top prize, other than the 6*, of 100ss. I got it a few times along with quite a few 50ss and 25ss. MMC has a top prize of 250ss. I have not even heard of anyone getting that and the highest I have gotten in that chest was 10ss only a couple of times.

From what I have seen and experienced the past 3-4 months, unless it's a glitched promo or u need fallen vamb
, it's not worth spending gems ever.

There was once a time when things seemed to be worth it because at least u would end up with potions but now that potions have completely flooded our inventories thy are a terrrredible prize now and many of the chests and promos that I liked for means of potion collecting now are rendered obsolete by the radiculous amount of potions we get fed

Unless there is a glitch or unless you neeeeeeed potions gems are a waste of your money ( other than keeping the electricity on for our servers wich I thank all big spenders for )

That's my primary complaint. I don't expect every promo to be good, but Kabam has killed the last decent buy in the game. Gem summons have always been ridiculously long odds (which is weird, because they are the most expensive) but even the most reliable chests (makeup and chest of chests) are junk now. And the last two events have barely been worth it; between nerfed chests and, lowered SS drop rates.

I don't really expect my rant to change anything, really more of a heads up. People won't continue to spend if they aren't getting a return. And when people stop spending the servers go dark. So, that's even less incentive to spend, since who knows how long the big spenders will keep paying your rent.

The tone of the message board is bleak, and the app store reviews aren't great anymore (sad, because the game itself is great. It's just the rewards that are suffering.) I, myself, changed my 5 star review to a one star not long ago, after getting shafted a few times, and a few Kabam support boondoggles. I think we've all noticed less new players coming in because of that, and more players quitting.

So how long does Kabam expect this game to stay viable? It doesn't matter, they'll get a new branded IP and slap new art over this same game to hit a new market.
