I'm writing this to other players, not to Kabam...we all know they don't actually monitor this board with any regularity.
Its my humble opinion that Kabam has engaged in false advertizing, arguably about many aspects of the game (think minigame and how the boxes you don't choose always contain those coveted 6* cards), but the changes after the reflect combo may really qualify as false advertizing.
We were all given a chance to spend money to earn a set of cards that within the game gave a set result....and many of us spent our money, and got those cards. After one city event where people earned cards using this combo (with a paltry 3% drop rate), Kabam nerfs the combo. Now, they don't actually make it not work, they do something a bit different (probably at the advice of their legal department). What they do is reduce the amount of damage that bossed do in future evetns. This effectively kills any benefit of having the combo that people paid money for. Note that this change in game mechanics only came after they sold the cards for the combo and realized it conveys a real advantage, reducing the amount of pots people need to spend...then suddenly, the amount of damage done by bosses is dropped by an incredibly large amount. This was done for one purpose, to make the reflect combo all but useless.
I am not a lawyer, and cant say whether this actually meets the legal definition of false advertizing---but I am a human with a fully functioning brain, and I know when I'm being ripped off. I have spent a few hundred dollars on this game since starting playing, and consider myself a person who supports this company as a paying customer.
I will not spend another dollar until Kabam changes its business practices and engages fairly with its customers. If they charge us for something and we pay for it, we should get to keep it!!
