Many of us on the forums have found Mix Thorngall's posts where he creates lore and back stories for the Heroes of Camelot. We requested that Mix Thorngall make a special story for Icemaw and gave him creative control of the story.
On behalf of the HoC team at Kabam we want to thank you for playing our game and being a creative member of the Heroes of Camelot Community.
Without further adieu here is the Icemaw's story by Mix ThornGall:

A long time ago, the forces of Chaos quaked Earth, giving birth to a powerful pair of Dark Dragons. A huge fire and lava blast in Hellsgate volcano brought the flaming Valrakk to the surface, and a freezing storm cracked the core of the Shadow Peak, releasing the ancient and frosty Icemaw. They soon joined and began unleashing their power...
Extreme cold and heat together could wreak havoc to the climate balance, so the Heavens were called upon to stop the threat. Archangel Hope was sent to counter them, riding the glorious Ben-Nu Fireborn.
Soon, the Dragons saw her and tried to surround her, shooting deadly blazes and ice blasts. The Phoenix could withstand the fire, but had to be extremely careful with the Icemaw´s attacks, as they could harm it badly. Also, he could not hurt Valrakk with fire... so Hope flew between both Dragons, and stayed there to bait them. They hurled their beams... but the Phoenix descended right before getting hit! The chilling blast stunned Valrakk, and the hellfire severely damaged the Icemaw, making it to fall down.
Then, Ybreel came in with the powerful Celestial Phoenix... Valrakk was outnumbered and fled again into the depths of the Hellsgate. The Fireborn finished the Icemaw with his blessed flame, and the Angels brought its ashes and bones inside the Shadow Peak again, setting up a strong seal upon them to prevent its awakening.
