  • Arena Changes

The arena update is coming! We have all been waiting patiently for the patch and I'm glad to confirm that it is around the corner.

Arenas are going to be changing a little bit. Here is a quick list of changes to give you guys an idea where the future of arenas are going to take us:

    1. Higher cost per fight
Higher cost?! What the-.... Yes. The cost per fight is going up a bit. The goal is not to gouge you guys on the arenas but we want to put better rewards in the arenas. Thus, we need to raise the cost of those arenas.
I promise NOT to hike the ticket cost to 25 tickets per fight but you might feel a squeeze now during the arenas since rewards are going to be better. I am aware that changing the ticket cost from 1 - 2 makes a big difference. I will be monitoring the results and adjusting it so you always have arena tickets in your inventories to burn.

    2. One-Time Entry Fee
There will be some changes to One-Time Entry fees. Not sure what the final result is yet, but we will make sure that it is fair. If it isn't at first I know you guys will tell me and I will adjust accordingly.

    3.Smoother Reward Spikes
Right now players have to play to a certain Might Level to get a decent reward. In the mean time you guys have to grind through some "meh" reward steps before you get that "bang" of a reward. I want to take the 20 pots at 3000 Might and sprinkle them through out 1005-2750 (and through out the whole reward ladder). So There will be less "bang" at the top reward but each step will yield a more decent reward. The goal is less spikes and more cruise in terms of receiving rewards. Since players get a decent reward each step new players won't fall short of that "bang" reward and be satisfied with the accumlulation of rewards.

    4. Themed arenas
This sounds like a Demon arena. Sorry....not yet (It's noted though). There will be some arenas with 3 star and 4 star Might Rewards that follow a theme ("Fire cards" or "Camelot Fighters" for example). The top rewards will still be that 5 star I know you love () but but this allows 24 hour arenas to keep a low ticket cost, and I might be able to run two 12 hour arenas instead of one 24 hour. It mixes things up.

IMPORTANT: I need to know exactly how these changes are effecting you guys. We have many types of players (Big spenders, Free to Players, PVP'ers, PVE'ers, Collectors, Completion-ist, and all the different types in between). Arenas are available to everyone but it's impossible to make an arena that everyone will enjoy. As the new arenas roll out WE (the players and GMs) are going to analyze them. The Arenas will be tweaked to target specific groups and types of players so everyone has an arena than can enjoy.

I being a free player depend on super arenas to get my legendary cards. Unfortunately i dont see any mention on the amount/frequency of the 6* arena we will be getting. Any info on this matter will be appreciated. Thanks

sounds interesting, but hope youre aware that nothing of this really matters if you dont fix the present arena bugs first:

        1. bugged opponent selection
        2. changing team affects all arenas
        3. spending nonintended gems on refresh caused by lag

Sounds great! -Before arena update, could we have good old Mhor the Wyrm and Nathra Verdaine arenas, so we can max our Epic Serpents combos! Please! It's great to have new cards in arena, but let us collect old cards before we start collecting new cards... -Or give us 1 new and 1 old arena per day?

Thanks for the update ! Personally I have to rush all arenas. Means I am attacking everyone because if I dont, I cannot finish them. Too many strong players and I cannot advance with a streak. Im use to it and I don't complain. But if you raise the cost of the arenas even by 2, then you would have to give me back tickets somehow. Otherwise I won't be able to play..

^^ THIS, Arena bugs MUST be fixed before the arena changes are applied, since it afects them.

It does sound like a pretty decent Idea, I Like point 1 as long as there are really good prices, and a combination of point 1 and point 3 would make it so the spent tickets worthful in case you dont get to finish the prize ladder. Point 2 and 4 will need to be released and tested by the community to get propper feedback, but I'm looking forward to this arena update.

Sounds good for the most part, especially higher costs.. if the rewards are good. It will also discourage suiciding to the top if it costs so much lol

After the tool update is the best I can do. Getting a green light on this would probably happen after the update. So I might as well wait for the update.

Hmmm...... i think most of the changes in the Arena System are positive. Only the raise of Tickets per fight will be a Problem for most of the non-paying Gamers (like me)! I really hope that there will be a Chance to get enough tickets in the future.... otherwise i wont be able to Play all Arenas

sounds a little scary. I hope you dont put a gem cost on an arena just to compete for a 6* card.

Sorry but the higher cost is only going to let the rich get richer. Low to mid level players are not going to be able to afford dishing out a ton of tickets to try and get a top reward when they are unable to keep any kind of winning streak alive to get that high. They will go broke from losses trying to build up might. I would like to see a more creative way for lower level guys have a chance at getting good cards rather than all the big spenders get 5 of a legendary at the top spot.
