I just wanted to take a minute to give my feedback and suggestions to the HOC team.
I want to mention if it has not been already that these golden events are the best thing to happen to HOC. Events like his encourage spending and keep players active. Haveing a feeder event on a monthly basis would certainly keep me playing and paying. The only issues I have with events so far are that they give rise to some sub par arenas. I understand you need to wipe out players stacks of tickets but your assuming we all stacked enough tickets when we had the chance. If you miss that chance we are stuck watching others play for a week or more until we are given the chance to earn tickets again. This discourages play when I don't have a way to collect what I need to earn rewards. This is only really a problem however because the pricing for digital content in this game is out of whack.
I understand that prices need to be high so that sales seem more impressive, but 1$ for a potion that literally takes less than 30 seconds to spend is absurd. If there is no potion sale it could cost upwards of 120$ an hour just to walk for feeder cards. Completely outrageous. Potions and arena tickets need to come down in price so people can play your game. I can't count the number of times I wanted to spend 5-10$ but realized it wouldn't last more than 10 minutes and I'm not paying 1$ per minute just to play a "free" game. However I do have a few suggestions that I think could drive people to play and to pay.
One idea I had was allowing players to bottle unused stamina and mana bars into potions. If your bar is full you should have the option to bottle it and save it for later. This would encourage people to constantly log in and bottle up their potions increasing log ins and future play time. A good way for players to get 5-10 potions in a day even if they couldn't play much that day.
Another suggestion I would make would be to have a form of "subscription" that pays a bonus to anyone who spends money. Maybe once a week earn 10ss 10 each pot and 2 might multipliers for spending 5$ (ontop of gems) ... This way people who spend big money still get piles of gems to spend on what they want but someone who is only trying to spend 5$ doesn't wind up with nothing but a 3* card for 5$ ( wich is embarrassingly bad that you can spend money and receive nothing for it). This will encourage people to drop 5$ in every week just to get the pots and ss if nothing else.
Another suggestion I would make is to add a 5* and above option to the summon screen. Make it 10,000 gems or 100 summon stones but people will pay for a guarenteed 5* instead of 4* garbage.
Another would be to give out free gems more often. Arena rank rewards should give 10-100 gems at different break points to encourage more competAtive play and spending on arena tickets. Also we should be able to pay 350 gems to refill our BMP. I would have spent 20$ on BMP refills by now if it was an option.
My last suggestion for the day is to offer a choice of cards. Either through an event or a top $$ purchase. The player that wins or the players that are willing to pay up receive one card of their choice. T1 lvl1 but any card that they want. Give someone the ability to finish any card or combo that they have. Or the option to outright buy 8 of the same card for 1000$ or something stupid. I would never use this option but there are players who would . Even if 6* cards get excluded and you drop the price a little, people will pay to get exactly what they want instead if another pile of nothing.
