  • The failure that is Arenas

I've been trying to think about the complete failure of the arenas lately and can only conclude that Kabam has either zero employees working in QA, or that they are not working.

I cannot see the justification for the recent changes to the Arena Battle Costs (abc). It is throwing the player economy on its head and creating too much dissatisfaction in the community.

Firstly, the recent 5 Star Arena was a complete act of theft. The ABC (arena battle cost) was an insane 5 gems per fight. However, this is not a special arena, nor a 6 star card and one we had fairly recently with Ticket/Gold cost.
What is the thought process of making this arena cost Gems???

Secondly, the Scroll and Potions arenas are a weekly happening and its very welcome. However, they used to cost 1 ticket each, and have 2 days to complete. Now it has gone up from an initial 200 Gold, to 300 and currently 500 Gold. What is the reason behind the increase? There are no more Gold rewards for Might on the arenas, so why the steep incline???

Why is it that the community and player base is constantly being utilized for Kabam's Beta testing? Where are you Beta testers and QA to sort these things out and make an overall fair arena experience???

Aaron, you have stated before that you are in charge of Arena prizes and rewards, you should see the mistake you have made and at least double the prizes for the 5 Star Arena from yesterday for those that used real money Gems to participate in a free to play arena. And you should start focusing more on fair prizes and ABCs (Arena Battle Costs), because it seems that you just throw together whatever you feel like for the arenas.

Finally, the variety of the Arenas has been appalling lately, and very repetitive. Scroll and Pot arenas make total sense and should be a mainstay, but how about making Arenas of cards that get no exposure, like Galzra Super Arena that hasnt happened for many months, or new cards like the Angel of Law a couple months ago.

This situation is turning off and turning away alot of players and on our server, Arthur-41 we dont even have 100+ people on the Scroll arena, and less then 200 on the Weekly Fire Arena...(and weekly arenas are so silly as well, waste of time and lack of prizes).

Please address this Aaron and do your job with some more thought process and justification then just how you feel about it in the moment.

    The Kabam Players Community.

i have a feeling that it is this way because they are troubleshooting their new matchmaking system.

and I am sure world 1 is their beta testers and they all probably have millions of gold that 500 gold per cost is nothing for them.

as far as arena selection, its not aaron's job anymore...he can only advise now to the person who is in charge of it.

      Xeno is right.

Guid Arena should be set up one time each 2 or 3 days.
      Pots, weekly.

And stop that repeated arenas and arenas who costs 5 gems with crappy rewards.
Im months now asking for couple new cards in arenas like Angel of Law (was granted), Sword Summoner, Moria, Blademaster and others (5*).

Also some brand new 6* never had a proper attention.

Normally a arena starts little after another finish, so knowing this you can antecipate arenas and rush them.
Its very easy to do that if you have an average deck you'll end it in half hour.

Did it ever occurred to U that they maybe trying to push arenas for different target audiences?

So we have gold arenas for all including f2p

We have ticket arenas for all including f2p that hoarded certain amount of tickets during events

We have now gem arenas for payers. Being payer doesn't mean player is always very strong. Some pay player maybe just started and happily pay few hundred gems to get card that is part of important strong combo

You do 't like arena setup you don't do it. I didn't play as I didn't wan to spent gems on it, so could u

they just wanna keep us busy while they are troubleshooting the new arena matching system.

                no arena = people complain
yes arena but delayed matching making update = people complain

so i guess just be patient and wait another week or so. they prob have short staff too since they are too busy debugging their upcoming update, or else people complain again for the bugs
