Well as the title says. Some top players in my server have noticed kabam put ut a new system in arena. Sorry kabam but we think you did a great error again. Making it very easy for the weak new players and harder for the more powerfull.

Let me elaborate. Now in the new system somehow the power of the deck is taken into account. So if i rank high and are powerfull i will get only powerfull oponents. Weaker players who rank high never apear to stromger players anymore. Lots of noobs in the leaderbords never appear to strong players either.

Anyone else seeing the same ? I do remember a post saying this new matching system was coming oit. But with all the errors it faded away.

Yeah I noticed this as well. It's always the same 3 players in my matchups. The other 3 strongest players along with me. And they never change no matter how many refreshes. Always the same 3.

We have not updated the matchmaking system yet...that's part of the next update. I'm not sure why so many people think it was changed...

Because we are seeing another behaviour than before. For example in the amulet arena. Two guildmates ranked high. Another player who is a lot weaker ranked high also. But my guildmates were never matched with him. And. He wasnt burning tickets. So the win loss ratio was high. Also its pretty evident when i no longer see any easy opponent after hours of refreshing. Maybe the new system was passed early as another error.

On a side note. When the calamity points were restored not all points were given. You said you can track them all. Well i think that loss costed me rank 3. Are those points lost forever? Didnt you had a record?

The new system can't have been pushed early, as it hasn't been built yet.

Its as bad as ever, i consider myself a mid-level player have a reasonable deck but cant get anywhere near the top rewards. Im still stuck refresh after refresh, maybe 1 battle, very lucky to find 2. On the few occasions there are 3 arenas available its not so bad, i dont mind spending a few hours cycling through them but any less than that and it drags on too much and I lose interest.

Cant play 3* cos i dont have the deck space to build a team, and on a server thats 7 months old a 'beginner' arena is pretty rediculous .. the current magicians arena has slowly built up to a grand total of 12 entrants.

I get that other servers are younger but they still get to play all the other arenas too .. It seems like your punished for playing, being active enough to level up, build a stronger deck of cards and try to improve.

I know this isnt the intention, and without server-specific arenas there is a need to cater for everyone which I am not trying to stop.

So more than anything i guess this is just a warning to newer players / newer realms

'currently you have access to all aspects of the arena, enjoy it while it lasts because soon you will be excluded'.

Sorry if it sounds negative but its all true.

Ok thanks for answering. But something clearly is happening. My server (kay44) is very segregated because it was reopened to new people after being closed for full. And there are lots of newbies ranking high burning tickets and we only get the hard opponents.
Thx for clarifying. But please do look into it.
                Nothing about the missing tonics?

Lower strength deck have lots of tickets now after calamity, they go on suicide sprees with 70-80% defeats, this must be the case.

I think cancel defeated point would be good idea, too many noobs keep suicide to win.

nothing changed yet on arenas, just people have x2-20 times increased their ticket arsenals, which means they can bomb the arenas non stop.

I was top3 in stag tokens arena with an advantage of 4000 points from top4 player and top5 ( both from the top1 guild un muy realm) my deck is 700k+ at the moment so i could still beat up any but some players in my realm and only two hours until end of arena... woke up and found myself in top5 beated by two ss by only 100 and 72points respectly their streaks are les than 40, did i get mad? Of course.... Stop giving up points from defeat or at least let us find up those ticket burners un the climb of a top!

I'm have to disagree with what you're saying. The defeat points/suicide runs are a component of players making their decks better. Noobs (myself included) can't compete with players that have been playing and advancing their decks for months. We have to grind out defeat after defeat to earn the 3 points and climb the ladder to get great cards like Balz, Gazra, 2x Water Elementals, etc. Noobs are already behind the eight ball; the new 3* arenas a step in the right direction but even then, you get a handful of Summon Stones that will probably only net you some 4*s and mostly 3*s.

They can try to limit access based on level/# of stars, etc., but that's already been exploited/bugged as the latest 3* arena allowed any decks to enter.

Please propose an alternate way for noobs to get better through the arena instead of complaining. As it stands now, we're trying to get better within the parameters of the game. If this includes defeat points to earn that 4K MIGHT reward, or a top rank finish - then so be it.
