We all know that the planned update did not go according to plan. Kabam and the development team are trying to work on this to get it fixed. Its in their interest and our interest to do so. i am sure they are not sitting around having a drink laughing at us. Yes people have encountered issues such as losing cards and various bugs etc but i am getting sick and tired of filtering through the complaints and childish insults that some people are throwing at kabam and the developers while they are trying to get things fixed. If you dont like what has happened and it has affected your life that much that it causes you anger then just quit already. Seriously how about a positive word about the fun that the game does bring.....

everyone makes mistakes and sometimes we do stuff up and things dont ALWAYS go acording to plan. But we fix our errors and it all ends up ok.

to all you people whinging and complaining and insulting kabam how would you like it if you made a mistake at your work and suddenly not only had to fix the problem but had people insult you while you were in the process?

just leave them alone to do their jobs and be grateful that they are actually trying.....

By that logic, if you are sick of reading the posts on this forum you should just stop coming here.

      Case closed.
but the forums are useful for other things that involve the game.

edit: what i mean is that the forums are created for reasons other than insulting people. if you read the rules of the forum you will see everyone who is insulting and being rude to kabam is breaking the forum rules. i dont have an issue with people reporting problems. i have an issue with the people saying things like...."of clap clap good update kabam you suck your game sucks etc etc etc

No one is being unfairly negative. Everything posted in this forum are legit issues. If we all get on here and wax poetic about how great everything is do you think any problems get fixed?

          1. Kabam are more than capable of dealing with that themselves.

          2. People have the right to complain, I dont have to quit the game because I dont like the bugs in it, the same way that you dont have to stop using the forum because you dont like what people are posting.

I'm actually quite accustomed to lack of intelligence and efficiency in the work force as I deal with plenty of them. I'm also used to helping them solve issues daily and being the very few who cares in making other people's life better. Now I do see some attempts by Aaron and dash in being helpful and I thank them for that. But the kabam support is such a hit or miss. At least to me, I feel I gotta pray that my support guy isn't having that time of the month when reading my ticket or else I'll get a copy/paste generic crap response. I do have to say from reading all the responses, I'm the very few that actually thought the update wasn't bad. Of course I'll think different had I been unable to play this game so I feel those guys whenever I read their post. My only concern are problems shoved under the carpet. Example would be the tickets I sent for missing gems on refreshes which was in the thousands. I gave up because my time was more valuable in following up on them and reading some of the most idiotic repetitive responses that literally drops my intelligence level just by reading it.

Aaron/Dash - please do pass on my condolences to the support department

              Hey folks,

We encourage players to share their problems and issues and concerns here. I know at times I might seem short and curt in responses, but it's only because I prefer to be direct rather than fluffing pillows. We don't respond to every thread or every post -- especially when we've responded to a given topic numerous times before. And I know some issues aren't resolved as quickly as you'd like.

But that doesn't mean we are ignoring them. Development takes time, we have a fairly small team on HOC, and as you are well aware, we had a fair share of issues to amend after Version 3.2. Complain as much as you want about how Kabam should put more resources into HOC, but the fact is our team is still small, and we can only work with what we have.

So basically, what I'm trying to say is this: we really do want you to share opinions and frustrations and problems here, but please keep in mind that it becomes harder for us to do our jobs when the forums become a den of negativity. Complaints are welcome, but let's keep them constructive.

              Aaron

                  There is differents issues.

                  - Inventory : Most of players are stuck like me. I use 99/100 of my inventory, can't farm, can't evole cards. It's really frustrating. Have to feed 6x 5* to make place. Useless sacrifice. We need our space back

                  - Raid : As my inventory is full, cards jump in mail, but not alone. The swords (Mana) is join with the mail. Raid cost now for me 20% more... Waste of pots.

                  - Rewards : A big joke with customer support... You don't get Angel of Law, don't worry. Here 5 tickets and be happy (or not, they don't care) Really ? Send with another mail "The Survey"... I prefer don't answer it...

                  - Rewards part 2 : When you can finally get you reward, it drop directly on your inventory.... The same where you have to sacrifice essential card to keep playing... Another Joke. Why not in mail, to be sure we get it ?

If we complain, that's because we like this game and we want to keep playing

                    Hi Aaron,

What can we do to make your bosses enlarge your team?

Can't kabam gain enough profit from this game?

Sounds fair but can't be an acceptable excuse for your team failure.
How hard to enlarge our inventory? 1 week still not fixed.
In fact this update is a disaster, I think even Kabam wouldn't be happy with such performance.

Can't kabam gain enough profit from this game?
SAN FRANCISCO—Jan. 21, 2014—Kabam, the leader in free-to-play games for traditional players, today announced 2013 gross revenues of more than $360 million, a 100 percent increase over 2012. The privately-held company has been profitable and cash flow positive since 2012.

“For the second consecutive year, Kabam blew past its plan,” said Co-Founder and CEO Kevin Chou. “A year ago, we forecast 2013 revenue would grow by 50 percent to $270 million. Six months ago we raised the forecast to $325 million. To close the year topping $360 million is a testament to the innovation, creativity and collaboration of more than 750 Kabam employees around the world who are focused on keeping Kabam the leading freemium games company for traditional players.”

In a year when Kabam was named one of the top 50 disruptive companies by leading business network CNBC, Kabam’s revenue was largely generated from games on the mobile platforms offered by Apple, Google and Amazon. However, Kabam still generates about 30 percent of its revenue on the Web via its own platform Kabam.com and its long-time partner Facebook.

“The disruption of the traditional video game industry is accelerating with Kabam and other freemium companies commanding 22 percent of the worldwide games market,” Chou said. “A new generation of consoles was introduced last year and initial sales appeared encouraging. However, over time, free-to-play mobile gaming revenues will dramatically overtake traditional game sales as more people worldwide download and play games on smartphones and tablets from freemium content companies like Kabam.”

“Kabam’s growth in 2013 was even more impressive because we simultaneously grew at 100 percent and improved the underlying economics and margins. These improvements allowed us to make significant and increasing investments in the future,” said Chief Financial Officer Steven Klei. “We are explicitly managing the company to maximize key investments and initiatives which are designed to emphasize long-term value creation over short-term profit margins.

“The company’s cash position is equally strong, with more than $70 million in the bank and a robust financial outlook for 2014,” Klei added.

                        Selected Highlights and Metrics:

                        • Kabam completed a unique secondary offering that raised $38.5 million and increased the company’s valuation to $700 million; none of the money went to Kabam as it was exclusively for the benefit of current and former employees as well as certain early investors. The offering was from both new investors as well as existing investors—a testament to the support for the strategy of the company

                        • Kabam’s average revenue per daily active user (ARPDAU) is six- to seven-times higher than the industry’s largest U.S. company

                        • Kabam’s The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth and Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North placed in the top ten on Apple’s Highest Grossing Apps list for 2013; it was the second consecutive year for Kingdoms of Camelot on that list

                        • Four Kabam games surpassed $100 million in lifetime revenues. The Kingdoms of Camelot franchise surpassed $250 million in lifetime revenue

                        • In 2013, Kabam was one of the rare companies to have three games simultaneously ranked on the top 25 grossing lists for both iOS and Android

                        • A record 11 Kabam games grossed more than $1 million in a month in 2013

                        [...]

Kabam is the leader in the western world for free-to-play games for traditional players with first and third party published titles available on mobile devices via the Apple Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, and on the Web via Facebook, Yahoo, Kabam.com and other platforms. Kabam is the fastest growing Internet media company in the San Francisco Bay Area and the 17th fastest growing company overall in the U.S., according to Deloitte LLP. Kabam's 2013 revenues exceeded $360 million, a 100 percent increase over 2012. The company is profitable and cash-flow positive, and has created four titles that have grossed more than $100M each in their life. Kabam’s Kingdoms of Camelot franchise has grossed more than $250 million in less than four years, making it one of the top 10 strategy franchises of all time.

I've been around a while now..
And I am a developer, I work with this and I know how things behave in this business... I know Kabam doesn't develop the game, only publish it, but its sad when the game-team screw up more then once in a short period of time...
Maybe it feels like a negative post, but the thing is, the developers sounds like a bit unexperienced but I can see they're learning with their mistakes and try to improve their game.

                          What is my point?

They're almost entering the right path with this game and I think would be awesome some love from the devs themselves with the forums and community regards to updates and features.
I know some of us are harsh, hard to swallow but we do love the game and we do want to see it shine!

                            Kabam runs so many games.

Should we post a passage about the failure of HOC to the forums of other games to attract more attention from the company?

I know some of us are harsh, hard to swallow but we do love the game and we do want to see it shine!
The problem, in my opinion, is not entirely with the development team to be honest. We've seen this with other games that do a lot of money grabs and stuff. It's when some of the ideas of the developers clash with those at the top (whom I would refer to as the suits). On one hand, It could be true that the development team is relatively inexperienced with these new updates. However, I would find that conclusion problematic because even though they screwed up the new patch, they handle the releasing of new paid packs and other items that are sold for a discounted number of gems really well, so I think the priority of the development team is more focused on the mechanics that would make the dough as opposed to mechanics that would help players enjoy the game better. I felt like it was a very hurried release with little to no testing done whatsoever, especially at the beginning. Some core issues of the new system should have been addressed during testing but isn't (e.g. opening multiple attachments at once instead of opening them one by one, inventory space due to the removal of the treasury).
