  • Arenas improvment suggestion

    1) Please make new arenas more often! sometime (like NOW) we don't have a single good arena(now we have only camelot arena active, which most of players already finished).
    2) We have tickets and stones arenas, but no charms and potions arenas. Could be very useful to have potions arenas from time to time (with just potions or charms as rewards and nothing else).
    3) We have some promo chests.. can we have them as a arena rewards too? Or this can be made via random rewards(say random 3* card for 2000, random 4* for 3000 and random 5* for 3000)? or just same chests as active promo.
    4) More flash arenas, or more prizes for rate arenes(say top 10 get one reward, 10 to top 50 another one, 50 to 100 - third reward). On my server top 10 players get all rank rewards no matter if they need them or not. Just no chance to get something good for others.
    5) Make refresh bring new opponents! when you are in top 100 - refresh very often gives same 2 out of 3 opponents. And multiple refreshes just shows you 3 out of 7-10 same players.

they need to go back to basics .. we have no arenas at all, i assume other realms are the same ..

KABAM: The only part of the game that works and creates a buzz in the community is the arenas, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us more .. cut down the rewards if you have to, make them the worst arenas you can think of but give us more !!! people only really complain about arena content when its the only damn arena available.

I dont mind testing out new events, whether the rewards are good or bad isnt the all important factor .. I dont mind the bugs, you guys do what you can im sure (the lack of information is a pain but thats another issue) .. BUT when i log in and the only activity i can do is to farm father mal cos there are no arenas i feel like quitting ..

what is the point in developing a deck over months of hard work ( and $$$ in some cases) if i have nowhere to use it? or can only use it when and if you decide to give us an arena?

im sorry if this seems like a thread hi-jack lol it wasnt meant to be, and hopefully there are some valid points in there .. im just really tired of it, i dont understand how such a good game can be so damn boring.

i think ive counted 10 arenas over the last 7 days .. in that same time weve had at least 3 chest offers .. i understand there are only so many hours in the day and not everything can get done, but for crying out loud, spend a little time making sure we dont die of boredom before you look for fresh ways to take our money.

      imo…

      1) we get plenty of arenas, more so during the castle siege event. but i agree in the fact that arenas are huge time fillers that have us twidling our thumbs afterwards

      2) potions i agree with, but some arenas have a buck load of charms as reward when you climb points, so a charm specific arena might be too much. maybe for a noobie arena to give players a head start.

      3) bad idea…the chests are a premium tool. besides, idk how they work but they might be the same chest which contents change with the event (or expire after said event).

      4) agree. in some cases only top 3 getting anything of merit can be a real kick in the gonads for those who just lost out.

      5) agree, although this has been mentioned countless times. can only guess the mechanics will take more effort to change than leave be.

      6) response to second person…if challenging decks is the interest then arena is the wrong thing, players tend to either fight easy opponents or Arena Guardians. in most cases you can complete with 1 team. be better having a tournament system…you fight, you win, you switch ranks with loser. they beat you, they return to rank...

It's premium yes, but not that expensive. Players will be given a chance to try promo chest for free. And if they like it they will buy more. Maybe much more. As for expiration - arene time frame of course must be identical to promo tme frame. And of course Iam not talking of making all promo chests together with arena prizes. Just some of them to bring something new in the game.

I think we may be playing different games .. the game i play doesnt have a tournament system .. it has arenas .. well sometimes anyway, and outside of the castle 'walk-n-pvp' that is the only way to battle .. it is the only point in having a 700k deck unless you want to take a photo and hang it from your wall? with no arenas, noone needs anything more than a raid deck and a farming deck, but then the game is just you against the machine, which gets old pretty quick.

you can spend your time asking them to create new types of arenas, trying to get them to give better rewards, i dont care about any of that .. im just sick of being bored. im not a top 3 player but i dont care .. if you cant make the might required for a reward its your problem .. work harder or spend more.

unless they are manually launching the arenas (i just got a vision of aaron heading out to the car park with one under his arm like a kite lol) there is no reason why we should be left without.

hmm well personally I'm still sceptical…i only ever bother with them when i can get cheap pots as drops are atrocious, but still nice to have some things unavailable for free

i said what would serve the purpose better not what you should be doing. currently there is no pure PvP system outside battling in Guild, although that said its not like there is much diversity or strategy, just the fact i have a stronger or risky deck to someone else so they must refresh to gain might. there actually needs to be more competition in the game. arena is enjoyable but on the OCD level where you NEED to complete it or you can't relax.

who knows, maybe Castle Siege can eventually provide such competition

ok, i understand your point better now, and i agree ..

                however:

*changes to the match making system will take time, lots of time ..
*development of new arenas (gems etc.) will take time, they will no doubt have to do a lot of number crunching to ensure that the rewards are balanced (not top3 vs top 10 rewards but im talking about the financial impact on kabams profit vs the players gain) lets say they give out 50 gems, as an individual its nothing to you but they have potentially handed that out to every member of the community, the cost could be huge…
*a new tournament system would take lots of time, development, testing etc.
*castle siege may indeed bring new challenges but its all pie in the sky right now, until its on my plate i cant eat it..

As far as i see it the only thing they can do now, today .. is to add a couple of extra arenas .. the ones they have already tried and tested …. no development time, no testing, no investment .. just the time it takes to fire up an emergency arena, and queue a few more for later.

Here's my suggestion and it's brilliant. Just put the guy that's in charge of putting up the paid promos and events in charge of putting up new arenas. That guy is always on his game and we never go without those paid promos. Give that guy the job and we're all golden. Seriously we've been complaining about the arena situation for months now and I just solved your problem free of charge. You're welcome Kabam...
