  • Deck advise & help

Hey all.. thought perhaps I could get some advise on my deck. My biggest frustration is when to cut bait with certain cards that may look attractive at the beginning, but long term isn't and I can use the cards for enhancement.

    Here's what I have:

127,207 hps, 36,698 atk - is what the opening battle screen shows in the arena
141,684 hps, 52,350 atk - is what I actually have with all the bonuses applied

    Team 1 - Azarel (T1/L30), Ben-nu Fireborn (T1/L23), Psycho Butterfly (T2/L30), Doomweaver (T2/L30)
Chance to revive w/60% & Passive - reduce damage by 40%
    49,787 hp, 14,273 atk

Team 2 - Sun Mage (T2/L30), Treekin (T2/L30), Mhor the Wyrm (T1/L30), Giant Boar (T2/L20)
Passive - reduce damage by 30%
    51,124 hp, 15,121 atk

Team 3 - Fire Elemental (T1/L20), Water Elemental (T1/L20), Earth Elemental (T2/L20), Caradd the Gale (T1/L20)
    Passive - team +100% ATK
    40,773 hp, 22,956 atk

I usually win most of my matches in the arena. Ballpark win 3, lose 2 by the time I get to key levels (ie: where the Summon Stones are). If you take out teams that have Shiverheart, I would probably win 9 out of 10.

    On the bench -

    Guardian Angel (T2/L30)
    Lady of the Lake (T1/L1)
    Beastmaster (T1/L30)
    2x Elder Shaman (T2/L1), (T1/L1)
    Archmage (T1/L1)
    Arabel the True (T2/L1)
    Stormcaller (T1/L1)
    Paladin (T1/L1)

Elder Shaman, Archmage & Stormcaller - Remove 50% of enemy team's HP - Now I think this procs, not automatic. If it were passive, it would be better. Gut tells me to just use these as feeders, but would like some feedback from experienced players.

Holding onto Arabel & Guardian Angel and waiting on Vambrael to group with Azarel. (I actually bought Arabel because I confused the Taal photo with Vambrael and for a while couldn't figure out why the +150% HP wasn't showing! Boy did I feel dumb and duped!)

Beastmaster would be good with Primal Warrior and Alpha Stag for +100% HP and if I threw Guardian Angel on the team, she along with Primal Warrior and Alpha Stag give a passive -20% dmg. Just not convinced on Primal Warrior and Alpha Stag and in fact have burned a few of each as feeders.

    Deck Cards to evolve -

    Sun Mage (T1/L1)
    Water Elemental (T1/L1)
    Giant Boar (T1/L1)

    Thoughts?

    (Thanks in advance!)

I would build up Druid Warband. Quite effective and comparatively easier to get multiple copies of the cards involved.
    Elementals are also looking good.
With Paladin, you also have the option to build Knight Warband (for War Horse, farm Fenric and Grail Knight is easy to get as well). Or you could experiment a bit with Mhor+Boar+Dooweaver+Psycho Butterfly for a 70% damage reduction team (yeah, take that Suited Up!), though my experience says that pure damage reduction teams aren't very effective.

I tried Mhor, Boar, Psycho & Doom to stack -40% and -30%. The trouble I found was collectively, they don't have a ton of HP. By breaking them up and putting them with powerhouse cards, collectively there's more HP to soak.

I have a mhor/boar/psycho/doomweaver combo first team. It's at 78k life/25k attack with t2/t4/t2/t4 ATM which isn't bad with double Dmg reduction

I'm currently also running arch/storm/shaman as team 2 with Alzreal but got a second nathra so ill pair the team up with it for time being. Eventually I'll like to replace them with dragon set but hard to get my hand on a galzra so it will have to do for now.

Hmm, you seem to be a low-payer (nothing wrong with that) so you really should include boss cards which are easy to get and give you decent stats, especially because you don't have more than 2 copies of each card you currently use so none of your current cards can surpass a maxed boss card.

I like to have Necro+FM+Doomweaver+Butterfly combo for the Rez and additional shield on both Necro and FM.
If you could get your hands on Ysbadden that'd add a nice dmg boost to your 2nd team.

Wow, thanks for the tips so far.

Ya, I've only been playing 28 days... so I'm still trying to get a handle on the game. My gut says that I should probably max everything out before I go back to spending more money on gems. I'm about 75% through Lyonesse with 13 more cards to find. I'm close to level 68, and I think that 80's the max. Shouldn't be long now. I will rip through Nascien's Cave for feeders 2-3x a day and roll through arenas to the first or second summon stone.

I've been evolving Tier1 cards as I see them without maxing them out, but I plan to max out tiers 2-4.

Once things are maxed or closed to max (which should take a while), I may buy gems or get bored of the game. Shocked you can't buy summon charms to quicken the levelling process. I would probably spend $20 on say 200 feeders.
