This is not speculation, and it is not false advertising. The drop rate increases as Shiverheart levels. That does not mean that Shiverheart is a common card once you get to the high levels. If he was common, and easily obtainable, then he wouldn't be 6-stars / legendary.

Please keep in mind that he's legendary-- not common, uncommon, rare, or even super rare. Thus, he is not easy to obtain.

I understand he is a legendary card and not easy to obtain, I am sure you have seen the countless messages that have discussed how painstakingly difficult people have grinded (up to 10 mana pots) to battle the higher levels of Shiverheart. Is this not under your definition of difficult to obtain? Please provide a proper operational definition such that I can fully understand your point of view. People would have had to farm and save for countless boss fights to accumulate 10 mana pots- these themselves are not given out easily. And even though this card is markedly more rare than others, people are still obtaining, and people are improving their decks at a lower cost of resources than some players and will ultimately sky rocket ahead of those who were unlucky. I just feel like there should be either more transparent numbers, or balance towards the later stages of boss farming for Shiverheart.

All drops are based on chance, and some people just get lucky. This is the case for all bosses, it is the case for all summons, and it is also the case here. You want an operational definition? It's based on chance, and that's it. The possible prizes are pooled, and then they drop based on the weight assigned to them within that pooling. More resources spent means more battles, which means you have more opportunities to get lucky. And even if you don't get Shiverheart, you are earning summon stones, donkeys and other resources.

Sure, some players got lucky and got a Shiverheart in only, say, 20 battles. These players are few and far between. Most of the time, you have to battle Shiverheart many times over before he drops. Because, again, it's based on chance, and chance alone.

Now, we look forward to making improvements for the next dungeon event we run. However, the drops there will also be based on chance.

This is extremely important information. Based on this as players win, those prize pools become more scarce?

What you can tell us about ppl get 3+ boss card before the level 40 and others get none with 60+\70+ battles? is only lucky right?

No, winning does not deplete resources (prizes) from the pool. When I say they are pooled, I mean we take the potential prizes, combine them into a little group and assign weights to each potential prize. You get a fresh pool every battle; your 'pool' is not something that you carry along. Winning one prize in one battle will thus not affect the next battle.

Now, the devs set up Shiverheart so that as he levels, the weighting adjusts. The weighting for the Shiverheart card increases, meaning the drop rate increases. But it also means that the drop rates for other items decrease (after all, they are inversely related and must total 1).

Sheer luck, I suppose. There is nothing in our system which makes the drop rate higher for some players than others.

it's all chance. stop crying about it. i only got 1 boss after 60+ fights, but thats okay, i got several stones and donkey and the event was pretty fun in general (lots of free stuffs if you thikn about it)

also, even in the random boss within the city (morbius / fenric for example), sometimes they dont even drop at all after 20 fights, or sometimes they drop 3-4 times in 20 fights. that's just how the probability goes.

what Kabam could do instead to prevent 'lucky players' from being overpowered with shiverheart is to nerf it. Kabam should nerf it so his stat is between a 6* and 5* (but not equiv. to 6* since it's free), so paying players remains some sort of advantage over the lucky players!
