My in-game name is "HappyWino".
I purchased a box named "Desert Cavalry" and received 1,000 Fangtooths instead of 1,000 of one of the troop types listed, as well as never receiving a Master's Potion +9. I contacted support only to be told that this type of chest only gives a chance to win the troops and no guarantee! By this logic I could have received 1,000 cons for my 20 rubies, or hell, even NOTHING! I can understand this response if my complaint was that I received Petrified Titans and I wanted Sand Striders but this was not the case. I received a troop that I had no way of knowing was a possible outcome. Your support personnel's explanation basically amounts to "We reserve the right to take your rubies and give you random things in return (or maybe even nothing), even if we set a clear expectation of what troops you have a chance of receiving at the time of purchase"
How can any purchase be trusted if this is the explanation from support?!
1) The first line of the main text reads "The Desert Cavalry contain a chance to win 5,000 Sand Striders and Master's Potion +14!" First problems right here, if you look in the rest of the text there is actually no chance to win any more than 1,000 Sand Striders and there is no chance to win a Masters Potion greater than 9+ These are the first two misrepresentations for this chest.
2) The "Top Tier Premium Troops" available from the chest are listed as follows;
- 1,000 Sand Striders or,
- 1,000 Storm Drake or,
- 1,000 Petrified Titans or,
- 1,000 Dragon Cavaliers
There is no mention of Fangtooths being an possible result of this box, had there been any mention of them I would not have purchased since Fangtooths are NOT "Top Tier Premium Troops" and not a troop I am interested in purchasing. This is the third misrepresentation for this chest.
3) - 600 Granite Ogres or,
- 600 Lava Jaws
I received 600 Granite Ogres, no problem here.
4) - 1 x 25 SunGlow Stone Chest
I received a 25 SunGlow Stone Chest, no problem here.
5) "AND one of the following"
- 1x Master's Potion +9 or,
There was nothing else on the screen, there was no ability to scroll down, that was everything. Final problem, I did NOT receive a Master's Potion +9 or indeed any other Master's Potion. This is the fourth misrepresentation for this chest.
There are four major misrepresentations here, any one of which alone represents fraud because I purchased rubies and then used them to obtain this chest. It's a classic "bait and switch", I was offered one thing, paid money in good faith, and received something completely different. This is unacceptable.
I am completely willing to accept that it was not Kabam's intention to defraud me and that it was the result of either programming or human error, this does not change the fact that I was defrauded and my expectation is that you will do everything in your power to correct this very quickly and to my full satisfaction.
